Before the Lok Sabha elections, BJP gave a big blow to Congress. Furthermore, the BJP included many of Congress’s senior leaders in the BJP. The number of leaders, workers, retired officers and people associated with social organizations joining the BJP is said to be around 1 thousand 370.

In the presence of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and State President CP Joshi, a large number of Congress representatives including leaders and workers, took membership of the BJP at the BJP state office on Sunday.

Two leaders Rajendra Yadav and Lal Chand Kataria who were ministers during the Congress government joined the BJP. Moreover, these former ministers are considered closest to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Furthermore, one former MP and five former MLAs, Joined the BJP. Out of these, the BJP has considered 45 Congress representatives as effective in their respective areas. All the Congress representatives from many assemblies including Jhotwara, and Kotputli joined the BJP.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, former Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore and other senior BJP leaders were present at the ceremony.

Janata Sena also merged with the BJP

Janata Sena’s Randhir Singh Bhohar and his wife Dipendra Kans Bhinder have again joined the BJP. Gulabchand Kataria, the former Governor of Assam and a senior BJP leader, and Bhider never got along well. Bhider has his support base in Mewar. For that reason, the BJP has decided to join him again in the BJP. With Bhider’s return, the party hopes to gain three Lok Sabha seats.
