On the 9th day of the Asian Games 2023, India won two medals. The Indian women’s team won the first bronze medal in the speed skating 3000-meter relay event and the second bronze medal came in the men’s speed skating 300-meter relay event.

While India completed half a century of medals on the 8th day of Asian Games 2023, today on the 9th day, India has won two back-to-back medals. India started the day with two bronze medals in skating. The Indian women’s team won the first medal in the speed skating 3000-meter relay event and the second medal came in the men’s speed skating 300-meter relay event. With this, India’s total number of medals has now reached 53.

Sunday was a great day for India in the Asian Games 2023. India on Sunday won historic silver medals in 9 athletics and men’s badminton team events. Many medals are expected from Indian athletes in different events on Monday. While today Shaili Singh and pole vaulter Pavitra Vengtesh will play the final in the long jump, Tejaswin Shankar will participate in the decathlon along with mixed team and individual events in archery.

Today Competitions

The biggest competition today in the Asian Games 2023 will be the women’s doubles final in table tennis. Whereas, Sutirtha and Ayhika Mukherjee will face each other in the semi-finals. They are the first Indian pair in the history of the Asian Games to reach the semi-finals in women’s doubles. This semi-final will start at 10.15 am Indian time.

India has so far won a total of 13 gold medals and 21 silver medals in the Asian Games 2023. At the same time, India’s number of bronze medals has now reached 19. In this way, India now has a total of 53 medals.
