European Union will elect an International Assembly
European Union elections will be held from the 6th to the 9th of June 2024. Elections are going to be held in 27 countries of the European Union. During this period, approximately 37 crore voters will elect 720 members of the European Parliament.

In terms of number of voters, this is the second-largest election in the world after India. Elections are going to be held in the European Union a week after the elections in India. The impact of the election will not affect Europe, but its difference will be visible all over the world.

The world’s eyes are on the European Union elections

After the general elections in India, now the eyes of the whole world are on the European Union elections to be held next week. Elected MPs for the international assembly will decide on the policies for Europe for the next five years.

In this Parliament of Europe, MPs are elected from all 27 countries according to the population of the countries. As the population increases, the number of MPs also increases. In the 2019 elections, 705 members were elected, while in 2024 their number has increased to 720. Most populous Germany will send 96 MPs. While Portugal will have 21 MPs, only one MP from a small country like Cyprus will be sent to the European Parliament.

How elections of the European Union will be held

Most European Union countries will hold elections on June 9. But the Netherlands is scheduled for June 6, Ireland and the Czech Republic on June 7, and Malta, Slovakia and Latvia on June 8.

The European Parliament is one of the three institutions that run the European Union, which runs this block of 27 countries. Surveys show that in the current parliament, the main groups such as the centre-right, centre-left, Greens and Liberals will get a smaller majority. While far-right groups will gain. According to surveys, the centrist group’s seats in the 720-member House will decline. While the populist right-wing Identity and Democracy (ID) group and the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) may increase in MPs. But it remains to be seen whether they will be able to get a majority of 361.

Andhra Pradesh State without capital from today

Andhra Pradesh is in a very strange situation since it no longer officially has a capital from today. Hyderabad was the capital of Andhra Pradesh till 1st of June 2024. Now Hyderabad is no longer the common capital of Telangana and Andhra. Since Hyderabad is no longer the common capital of Telangana and Andhra, there remains uncertainty over the fate of buildings allotted to Andhra in Hyderabad.

During the last 10-year period, Andhra Pradesh could conduct its administration and assembly proceedings from Hyderabad, unless it had its capital city. As per the agreement, a part of the Secretariat complex and some buildings in Hyderabad were allotted to Andhra to run the administration. Andhra Pradesh Government running from Vijayawada and Guntur

Telangana gave instructions to take over the allotted buildings

Hyderabad became the sole capital of Telangana on Sunday. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, at an official review meeting on May 15, directed officials to take over the buildings allotted to Andhra for 10 years.

A senior official of the Telangana Secretariat, familiar with the development, said that the Andhra Pradesh government had written to the Telangana government a few days ago. They requested to be allowed to retain these three buildings for another year. Until they find a permanent residence for them in Andhra.

Andhra intends to continue running its offices in Hyderabad for some more time. Until they get permanent buildings, the official said. They have also offered to pay rent for it from June 2.

Exit polls confirm the return of Modi

The exit polls have predicted that the BJP and its led NDA will come to power for the third consecutive time with an overwhelming majority. Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Voting ends, speculation begins. In the exit polls of both Today’s Chanakya and India TV, NDA is expected to get more than 400 seats as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s estimate. Today’s Chanakya has predicted 400 seats for NDA. While India TV has predicted NDA to get 371 to 401 seats. Exit polls of both of them have predicted that India Group will get 107 and 109 to 139 seats respectively. Signs of shock in Hindi-speaking states for NDA

In its report, the committee did not find that the death of both newborns was due to heatstroke. A drop of blood helped to get justice

A drop of blood helped the police to find out the murderers. A sessions court in Mumbai in Maharashtra on Tuesday sentenced two associates, Siddhesh Shantaram Tamhankar and Khushi Sajwani, to life imprisonment in the murder of Kirti Vyas. The special thing is that in this case the body of the deceased woman Kirti has not been found to date. Above all, the police had solved the murder with just a single drop of blood.

Siddhesh and Khushi Sajwani made a plan to kill

Kirti Vyas and both the accused worked in a salon named BBlunt. Kirti Vyas was the finance manager of the Andheri office of BBlunt. Ashoke Bhabani and Adhuna Bhabani are the founders of BBlunt. Moreover, Adhuna Bhabani is the estranged wife of film actor Farhan Akhtar. It is said that Siddhesh Tamhankar was not working properly, so Kirti had given one month’s notice to remove him. Angered by this, Siddhesh and Khushi made a plan to kill Kirti. Khushi Sajwani is Siddhesh’s girlfriend.

On March 16, 2018, Kirti went missing, and her family filed a complaint. Kirti Vyas a resident of Grant Road, left home for work and did not reach the office. Also, her sister Shefali reported that both her phones were switched off. During this time, to avoid suspicion, the accused Siddhesh and Khushi Sajwani also pretended to search for her. Afterwards, police learned from CCTV that Siddhesh was standing near Kirti’s house on the day she went missing.

Four months after the incident, the police found a drop of blood from the trunk of Khushi’s car. When its DNA was tested, it matched the DNA of Kirti’s parents. After that, the police arrested Siddesh and his girlfriend on charges of murder. Police said that Siddhesh and Khushi Sajwani had kidnapped Kirti, strangled her to death in the car and thrown the body in the creek of Wadala. Minor Driver will be fined Rs 25000 plus punishment

But now the arbitrariness of a minor driver on the roads is going to prove costly. Because now the government has made a plan to crack down on such drivers. If a minor is caught driving a vehicle, they will have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000.

Recently, an accident by a minor driver was trending in the news and social media. Hence the government has to make new rules for a minor driver. Parents and a minor driver should know the rules to avoid some mishappenings. Moreover, parents should restrict minors from driving.

New RTO rules for minor Drivers

New rules will be implemented across the country from June 1 by the Government Regional Transport Office (RTO). At the same time, driving without a driving license or at high speed will have to pay a heavy fine. If the driver is a minor i.e. less than 18 years of age, he will have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000. At the same time, if an adult is caught driving a vehicle without DL, a fine of up to Rs 2,000 will be imposed.

Let us tell you that currently there is a provision of a fine of Rs 25,000 on the parents if a minor is found driving. But, after the new rules come into effect from June 1, the vehicle owner may also be fined. Moreover, if a minor is caught driving a vehicle, he will not be able to get a driving license until he turns 25. Apart from this, the driving license of the vehicle owner will also be cancelled.

RTO rules for driving licence for a minor driver

Currently, a license is issued upon completion of 18 years of age. At 16 years of age, individuals can obtain a driver’s license for a bike with a capacity of 50 cc. This license must be updated after turning 18 years of age. However, if a minor is caught driving a vehicle, they can only get their driving license after turning 25 years old.

At present, there is a fine of Rs 5000 and three months in jail for driving without insurance. You will be fined Rs 10,000 and face 6 months in jail for driving under the influence of alcohol. Driver will have to pay Rs 10,000 for driving without a permit. Furthermore, Rs 2000 fine for overspeeding. Riding on a bike wearing slippers a fine of Rs 1000 has to be paid. You have to pay a fine of Rs 10,000 for driving without an RC. Rs 1000 is imposed as a fine for driving a car without a seat belt. A fine of Rs 5000 for driving without a driving license. The Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) provided information that fraudsters are sending fraudulent messages to carry out cybercrime. The companies that own these headers have been banned. Additionally, 73 SMS headers and 1522 SMS templates used by the companies have also been blocked. Now no telecom operator will be able to use any of these SMS headers and SMS templates. Under the Sanchar Sathi program, this action aims to protect citizens from SMS fraud.

An official of the Telecom Department said that the companies against which action has been taken were involved in fraud for a long time. According to the Ministry, anyone receiving a suspicious message should immediately inform through the Chakshu facility available on Sanchar Saathi. Illegal encroachment worth crores freed

Illegal encroachment was done by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) General Secretory Amin Patan worth crores freed in the Ananatpura area of Kota. Taking action against Pathan the administration has freed land worth crores of rupees from illegal encroachment. Pathan had constructed a luxurious farmhouse and swimming pool by occupying government land.

Kota UTI took action in the matter and carried out this action in the presence of the police force. The value of the land freed from encroachment has been estimated at crores of rupees. Amin Pathan is accused of infringing on forest land worth crores of rupees and building a big farmhouse.

Apoorva Krishna Srivastava reported about the illegal encroachment

Anantpura police station officer Bhupendra Singh stated that Apoorva Krishna Srivastava, the forest conservator of Kota, reported that Amin Pathan had demolished the security wall on the forest land near the Karneshwar temple. This land falls under the Lakhawa forest block of the Ladpura range in Kota. A satellite historical image of this illegal encroachment was also presented. It was visible that until 2014-15, a security wall was in the forest area. But after that, Amin Pathan had illegally encroached on this property and built a farmhouse there.

Three cases have been registered against Congress leader Amin Pathan at Anantpura police station in Kota. The first case is of obstructing the government work during the demarcation of the land of the Forest Department and Urban Development Trust. The second case involved taking the watchman and family hostage at the farmhouse. Additionally, the third case against Amin Pathan is for illegal mining by encroaching on forest land and destroying government property. Gunjal had kept an illegal stock of stones on government land.

After the recent action by the Forest Department on the farmhouse of Congress leader Amin Pathan in Rajasthan, the troubles of another leader have increased. UIT Tehsildar Hemraj Meena has registered a case against Congress candidate from Kota-Bundi Lok Sabha seat Prahlad Gunjal in Ranpura police station.

On Wednesday, a joint district administration team surveyed the government land adjacent to the crusher located at Bavdikheda of former MLA and Congress candidate Prahlad Gunjal in the Lok Sabha elections. The land survey was conducted by the joint team for about eight hours. It revealed that an illegal encroachment was done on the UIT land by the stock of stones. Whereas illegal mining was found in Khasra number 691, 694 of UIT. Now, based on the latest technology, the administration will get the land surveyed and demarcated afresh.

The Urban Development Trust had registered a case against Gunjal and his nephew Lokesh Gunjal for illegal mining on government land, stone theft and other sections. UTI also seized 955 tonnes of stones, a digging machine and a dumper from government land.

Rajasthan Police special initiative to save endangered human lives

Rajasthan Police has taken special initiatives to save endangered human lives. Rajasthan Police will prioritize the prompt analysis of social media posts indicating self-harm, depression, or suicidal tendencies to save lives. If such messages are received on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, Rajasthan Police will use technical analysis to reach out to the victim, provide counselling, and prevent any untoward incidents.

Director General of Police (DGP) Shri Utkal Ranjan Sahu stated that this initiative aims to preserve valuable human lives. It involves reaching out to individuals who may be contemplating suicide due to depression or despair. In this regard, special instructions have been issued by issuing orders to the Police Commissioner of Jaipur and Jodhpur, the Inspector General, the State Crime Records Bureau, the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Jaipur and Jodhpur and Superintendents of Police of all the districts including GRP Jodhpur and Ajmer.

How Rajasthan Police will do it

DGP Shri Sahu said that after analyzing messages of this nature on Facebook/Instagram, police officers have been instructed to immediately inform the police headquarters through e-mail about the cases with suspicious circumstances. Furthermore, based on these emails the State Crime Record Bureau (SCRB) will take immediate action. Moreover, SCRB at the police headquarters will be working 24×7. The help desk at SCRB will be able to track the victim’s mobile number, IP address, name and the message sent in the post.

After that, the in-charge of the concerned police station will take immediate action based on the information received. And they will try to reach the victim and help him. Efforts will be made by the police personnel of the police station to stop the untoward incident. They will do this by sensitively counselling the victims and their family members. The DGP has asked all the police officers and field staff to take concrete and effective action. This they will be doing by displaying sensitivity and supervisory skills in saving human lives.

Agniveers are not just soldiers

Agniveers are soldiers, leaders, innovators and defenders of national sovereignty. Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said this while interacting with Agniveers. On May 20, 2024, he interacted with Agniveers soldiers undergoing training at the Maratha Regimental Center and Pilot Training School (ATS) in Belagavi.

CDS in the Maratha Regiment Center

The CDS of the Maratha Regiment Center highlighted the noble purpose of military service and its crucial role in the military framework and commended Agniveers for choosing the Armed Forces. Moreover, he explained that this demonstrated their extraordinary responsibility to the country.

General Anil Chauhan acknowledged the personal challenges faced by soldiers and their families. Moreover, he highlighted the hardships they had to endure while fighting in challenging environments. Furthermore, he assured that despite the challenges faced, the Agniveers found their journey very rewarding, The steps each person takes to achieve their personal goals lead to growth and a deep sense of pride in serving our country.

CDS explains the evolving nature of warfare and highlights the complexity and unpredictability of future conflicts. It may include cyberwarfare, artificial intelligence and asymmetric threats. Furthermore, he said these are now an integral part of the battlefield.

CDS visited the ATS in Belagavi

During the visit to the ATS in Belagavi, the CDS visited the training facility. Moreover, he gained an in-depth understanding of the Agniveervayu training of the IAF. He interacted with the third batch of Agniveers Vayu cadets undergoing training as per the revised induction model to be launched by the Ministry of Defense in 2022. Furthermore, he urged them to focus on training them to become skilled soldiers, ready to face the challenges of future wars.

CDS also emphasizes to cadets that learning is a lifelong process, especially in the evolving and dynamic field of warfare, which is technology-intensive and requires a deep sense of responsibility for the continuous improvement of capabilities. Moreover, he also talked about technology integration and continuous learning. Furthermore, he clarified the importance of staying updated and being innovative in the fight.

He advised the trainees to always cultivate the values of integrity, fitness, discipline and team spirit in the pursuit of professional excellence.

Highlighting the importance of training, the CDS commended the efforts of the ATS and Maratha Regiment Center training personnel and urged them to continue striving for excellence to enhance the nation’s operational strength.

Who are Agniveers

Agniveers are recruited by the government of India in all three divisions ie Army, Navy and Airforce of the defence sector under the Agneepath Scheme. Any Indian citizen between the ages of 17.5 to 21 years can join as Agniveers. Girls can also join as Agniveers.

The Agneepath scheme was approved by the Union Cabinet in June 2022 and implemented in September 2022. Additionally, it is a new military rank.

Agniveers salary and benefits

– Recruited Agniveer will start with a monthly package of Rs 30000. Additionally, they will get allowances and benefits provided to the regular defence forces.

– The tenure of Agniveers is for four years only.

– Agniveers will get a fixed yearly increment of 10%

– Agniveers will get 30 days’ leave in a year. Sick leave will be granted on medical advice. Grant of leave is subject to conditions and emergencies.

– Agniveers will get all the medical facilities at military hospitals.

– Agniveers are covered by the life insurance schemes.

– An Agniveer Corpus Fund will be created and managed by the Ministry of Defence. In this fund, an Agniveer has to contribute 30% of the monthly package. Additionally, the same amount will be contributed by the Government to secure the future of an Agniveer after his services. Furthermore, this corpus fund is Income tax exempted.

2 Short Tenure

If you are looking for a permanent government job then you should wait and prepare yourself for such jobs which may or may not be announced in the coming years.

By that time you may cross the age limit. Although many states may offer age-limit relaxation for Agniveers.

3 Rehabilitate

After four years of your services, you have reestablished yourself and your career.
