Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took an oath once again for the record of the ninth time. This time Nitish Kumar allied with NDA. Earlier he was uniting the opposition to defeat NDA. This morning he resigned from the chief minister post and broke up Alliance with RJD.
The swearing-in ceremony was held in Raj Bhawan, Bihar at 5 PM today on the 28th of January 2024. The Governor of Bihar administers the oath to the Bihar Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers. A total of 8 cabinet ministers took an oath. Out of them, 3 are from BJP, 3 from JDU, one from HAM and one Independent.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister
BJP State President Samarat Chowdary and Vijay Sinha took an oath along with the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Both will be Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar.
As the state president Samarat Chowdary used to criticise Nitish Kumar on several occasions. Moreover, Vijay Sinha as opposition leader in the Vidhan Sabha, was against Nitish Kumar and had certain hot conversations with him in the house. Now both will be working along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Vijay Chowdary and others took an oath
Vijay Chowdary who has been finance minister also took an oath along with Nitish Kumar. Vijay Chowdary is from JDU and one of the closest to Nitish Kumar. JDU leaders Brijendra Prasad Yadav and Sharvan Kumar also took an oath as cabinet ministers.
Apart from this, BJP leader Prem Kumar took an oath as a cabinet minister.
Moreover, Santosh Kumar Suman the son of Jitenram Manjhi (president of the HAM party) took the oath. HAM has four MLAs in Bihar Vidhan Sabha.
At last Sumit Kumar Singh, an Independent MLA has taken the oath. He is very close to Nitish Kumar and had been a minister in the previous cabinet.
Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Bihar today at around 11:30 AM. The Governor accepted the resignation and deputed him as the Acting CM. This is been confirmed in a post by Raj Bhawan Bihar on X.
After coming out of Raj Bhawan Nitesh Kumar declared this in front of the media about his resignation to Governor Rajendra Arlekar. Moreover, Nitish Kumar said he asked the governor that he is out of the Mahaghatbandan. The Governor can take the required action. Furthermore, he said that nothing was going right here as well in the Indi alliance despite his hard efforts to build this alliance. Party members and leaders of JDU have also shown their issues from time to time.
Nitish Kumar said about the next plan
Nitish Kumar also gave a hint to the media professionals by saying to come on the next development. Moreover, now the old partners i.e. NDA leaders and JDU will decide about the coming plan.
It seems to be clear that Nitish Kumar resigned as chief minister to become the next chief minister with the support of NDA.
Seat status in Bihar
The magic figure of 122 is required for any alliance to form a government in Bihar. BJP has 78 MLAs in Bihar Assembly which has 243 MLAs. Whereas four MLAs of Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party ‘Hum’ are also with him. In such a situation, the total strength of NDA is 82. JDU of Nitish Kumar has 45 MLAs. In such a situation, if they become a part of the NDA alliance, this number reaches 127. Which is 5 more than the figure of 122 required for the majority. That means there is no need to make many arrangements.
Talking about RJD, the party has a total of 79 MLAs in the assembly. Whereas from India Bloc, together with Congress and Left parties, this number reaches 114. Meaning 8 away from the majority mark. Congress has 19 seats and the Left has 16 seats. Hence they have to put efforts into forming the government.

The first decision I have taken after returning from Ayodhya is that our government will launch “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses. This will not only reduce the electricity bill of the people with low income and middle class but will also make India self-reliant in the field of energy”.
Prime Minister chaired a meeting to launch “Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana” with the target of installing rooftop solar on 1 crore houses at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister mentioned that households can harness the power of the sun through their roofs to reduce electricity bills and become aatamanirbhar in their electricity needs.
Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana aims to provide electricity to low and middle-income individuals through solar rooftop installations. Moreover, it offers additional income for surplus electricity generation.
The Prime Minister directed a national campaign to encourage residential consumers to adopt rooftop solar.

The Chabahar Port Project is close to an agreement between India And Iran. During Foreign Minister Jaishanker’s visit to Tehran, he held extensive discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Chabahar port and North-South connectivity.
Amidst the tension with Pakistan, Iran has made preparations to defeat it on the diplomatic front also. Recently during Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s visit to Iran, both the countries have come close to an agreement on this ambitious Chabahar Port project. The issue of construction of this port has been pending between the two countries for a long time. It came into limelight in 2017 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Tehran.
India has finalized the Chabahar Agreement at a time when the Middle East is going through great turmoil and relations between Iran and Pakistan are tense. Moreover, International Naval Trade Waterways are under threat such as Somalia Pirates and attack Houthi terrorists. The US and Britain are continuously attacking Houthi rebel positions in Yemen to eliminate disruptions to the smooth movement of commercial ships through the Red Sea.
What is the Chabahar Port Project?
Chabahar Port is a connectivity project located in Sistan Baluchistan province in the south-eastern part of Iran. In this project, Chahbahar Port has been developed in collaboration between India and Iran since 2003 in the Gulf of Oman.
It has two main ports, but India will develop only one of the two, namely Shaheed Beheshti Port. An investment agreement of $8 billion was signed between the two countries on this project. The Chabahar Port Project is a multinational initiative to develop a deep-sea port in southeast Iran and establish a key trade route connecting India, Iran, Afghanistan, and potentially Central Asia.
Plans have been drawn up to build a 628 km long railway line to Zahedan and then more than 1,000 km long tracks to Sirakhs on the Iran-Turkmenistan border.
Here’s a breakdown of its key aspects:
Location and Significance:
Chabahar is Iran’s only oceanic port, offering crucial access to the Indian Ocean and beyond.
It’s considered a “Golden Gateway” to Afghanistan and Central Asia, as it provides an alternative to Pakistan-controlled routes for accessing these regions.
Chabahar Port Project Elements:
Port Development: India has invested heavily in expanding Chabahar port’s capacity, with Phase 1 already operational and further phases planned.
Road and Rail Connectivity: India has built a 240-km road connecting Chabahar with Zaranj in Afghanistan. Moreover, Iran is constructing a crucial railway link between Chabahar and Zahedan.
Chabahar Special Economic Zone: Plans are underway to establish an industrial zone near the port. It includes facilities for aluminium smelting, urea production, and other industries.
International Collaboration:
The project is a trilateral partnership between India, Iran, and Afghanistan. Each country is playing a critical role in its development and utilization.
The International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) aims to integrate Chabahar into a broader trade network connecting Russia, India, and Central Asia.
Challenges and Potential:
US sanctions on Iran: Sanctions have posed hurdles in terms of financing and international engagement.
Change of power in Afghanistan: The Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan in 2021 added further uncertainty to the project’s future.
Despite these challenges, Chabahar holds immense potential as a hub for trade, regional cooperation, and economic development.
Current Status:
Although progress has been slower than initially anticipated, the project continues to move forward.
India’s recent commitment to send aid to Afghanistan through Chabahar indicates continued interest in the initiative.
Iran’s efforts to complete the Chabahar-Zahedan railway are another positive development.
How the Chabahar Port Project will be beneficial
According to the Indian Commerce Ministry, freight transportation through the Chabahar Port and International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) will be 30% cheaper than the Mediterranean-Suez route. Natural gas from Central Asia can be brought to India through Chabahar port. India is already part of projects like the TAPI gas pipeline originating from the Central Asian Republic of Turkmenistan.
Moreover, the Chabahar project will end the dominance that China has created in the region regarding connectivity through the CPEC project with Pakistan.

A leader also said that we would go to the Ram temple after January 22. Now BJP has made this event as its program for the upcoming Lok Sabha election 2024. They do politics in the name of religion.
