Surendra Pal Singh TT Resigned from Rajasthan Cabinet

Surendra Pal Singh TT has resigned from the Rajasthan cabinet minister post yesterday. The governor has accepted his resignation. Surendra Pal Singh TT has the department but has not yet taken charge of the secretariat. TT has been allotted a room in the main building. TT is probably the first minister who became a minister without becoming an MLA. Moreover, he lost the election after taking oath as a minister.

The defeat of TT has dealt a big blow to both the BJP government and the organization. This was the first political test of the BJP after the formation of the government. Which both the power and the organization could not pass. Surendra Pal Singh TT has resigned from the post of minister after losing the election from the Srikaranpur assembly seat in the Sriganganagar district. Governor Kalraj Mishra has accepted his resignation.

    Always Win

Defeat of Surendra Pal Singh TT

The elections were postponed due to the death of Gurmeet Singh Kunnar, former MLA from Karanpur and Congress candidate. After the announcement of the elections, Congress played the sympathy card by making his son Rupinder Singh Ruby Kunnar a candidate. At the same time, BJP not only made former MLA Surendrapal Singh TT its candidate. But also played a big political gamble by making him Minister of State in the newly formed government before the voting. But in the counting of votes held on Monday, the Minister of State TT had to face defeat.

Excitement in the first round, disappointment in the second round

When BJP candidate TT got a lead of 724 votes in the first round, there was a wave of happiness among BJP people and TT supporters. At the counting venue, the counting agents raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram. This happiness evaporated in the next round. In the second round, Kunnar of Congress performed well and gained a lead of 184 votes, stopping TT’s lead.

Of the total 18 rounds, apart from the first and fifteenth rounds, there was not even a single round in which TT got the lead. Only Congress candidates were ahead in 16 out of 18 rounds. The deposits of other candidates were confiscated.

Kunnar remained ahead of Surendra Pal Singh TT in the postal ballot vote.

Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Ruby Kunnar was also ahead of BJP candidate Surendrapal Singh TT by twenty votes in the postal ballot paper vote. While Kunnar got 189 votes, TT got only 167 votes. Aam Aadmi Party’s Prithipal Singh Sandhu got only 28 votes.

  • Maldives on the backfoot

    Maldives on the backfoot

Maldives on the backfoot due to strong reaction in India. Temperatures are rising between India and Maldives over the objectionable comments made by a government minister Mariam Shiuna and other leaders during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep.

These statements are described as a big blow to the relations between the two countries. Moreover, it has continuously derailed since Mohammad Muizzu became the President. Many celebrities and common people in India are expressing their displeasure about this. #BycottMaldives is trending on social media platforms in India.

    Affect on the Maldives

Meanwhile, the Maldives’ Mohammed Muizzoo government has started trying to compensate for the loss. The government first issued a statement distancing itself from the minister’s comments. After this, media reports quoting the government claimed that the people who made the comments had been suspended.

As per the report, the government of Maldives released a statement declaring that individuals who hold government positions and have made derogatory remarks about India on social media have been suspended. The Ministry of External Affairs has released a statement regarding the incident. According to media reports, apart from Maryam Shiuna, Malsha Sharif and Mahzoom Majid have also been suspended.

Statements of the leaders of the previous government of Maldives

The former deputy speaker confirmed the suspension of ministers. Former Deputy Speaker and MP of Maldives Eva Abdullah, while confirming the suspension of the ministers, has said that the government should apologize to the people of India. Eva Abdullah said, “We have been dependent on India for economic relations, social relations, health, education, business, tourism etc. People are aware of this and they are thankful for it. All political parties, including former ministers and coalition partners of the current government, have condemned the derogatory remarks.”

Before this, former President Mohammad Nasheed, former President Ibrahim Mohammad Solih and former Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid condemned the statement and advised the current government.

    Muizzu Policy

Before Muizzu, Ibrahim Mohammed Solih was the President of Maldives and his government had implemented the policy of ‘India First’. Whereas Muizzu had contested the elections with the slogan of ‘India Out’. After winning the victory, Muizzu’s decisions started showing increasing distance in the relations between the two countries. Muizzu is considered closer to China than India.

    Foreign affairs experts criticized

On this matter, foreign affairs expert Robinder Sachdev said, this is condemnable. There is a section that is anti-India. India not only helps the economy through tourism. We also provide them with security. There was a coup in Maldives in 1988. India sent its troops and the coup was stopped within hours. Therefore India is for the national security of Maldives. There were occasions when the island experienced a severe shortage of water. India sent aircraft and our army with bottled water.

As per the foreign affairs experts MP Modi’s visit to Lakshadweep was to counter changing policies in Maldives. The result is a lot of Indian tourists cancelled hotel bookings and flights to Maldives. The tourists are diverting from Maldives to Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and other beautiful beaches in India

    Special about Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep is an island group situated on coral reefs off the coast of Kerala. The word Lakshadweep means one lakh islands. The beautiful natural scenery like beaches, blue water and white sand in Lakshadweep make it a place worth visiting. Till now, due to lack of information, it remained away from the tourists. According to statistics, 1 lakh foreign tourists came to visit the island in 2022. This figure was only 4 thousand more than the year 2021. The number of domestic tourists is still very low.

Lakshadweep, a stunning archipelago of 36 islands scattered like emeralds in the Laccadive Sea, is a union territory of India. These islands boast pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life, and vibrant coral reefs, making them a true tropical paradise.

    Rich culture:

Lakshadweep has a distinct cultural heritage, influenced by its proximity to Kerala and Maldives. The islanders, known as Lakshadweepians, are warm and hospitable, with their unique traditions and customs.

    Limited access:

To protect the fragile ecosystem and maintain the islands’ pristine beauty, access to Lakshadweep is restricted. Tourists require special permits and can only visit certain islands. This exclusivity adds to the allure of the destination, making it a truly hidden gem. Due to the restricted access and permit requirements, it’s essential to plan your trip well in advance. Make sure to research the necessary permits, book your accommodation and transportation, and familiarize yourself with the island’s rules and regulations before you go.
