Kota Greenfield Airport preparation has started to make it operational soon. The government has started preparations to ground the Kota Greenfield Airport. An MOU was signed between the Airport Authority of India (AIA) and the state government in Jaipur on Friday regarding Kota Greenfield Airport.
During the assembly elections, the Prime Minister promised to build an airport in Kota. He said in the election rally in Kota that after forming a double-engine government in Rajasthan he will fulfil his guarantee. The work of preparing DPR has already started. The Airport Authority aims to complete the work and make Kota Airport operational within two years of the start of the construction work.
Kota Greenfield Airport is a dream project of Birla
Kota Greenfield Airport is the dream project of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. For which efforts have been going on for a long time. A new airport will be built on 439 hectares at Shambhupura near Kota city. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had recently taken a high-level meeting regarding the airport in Delhi. In this, Civil Aviation Minister K. Had a review with Ram Mohan Naidu and officials of the Airport Authority of India regarding Kota Greenfield Airport. After this, there was talk of signing an MOU soon.
With the construction of a new airport in Kota, the city will gain air connectivity, benefitting residents of the Hadoti region. There will be no shortage of any kind in the accomplishment of the resolution of our government.
Leaders and officials were present at the meeting
A meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma was held in the Government Secretariat in the afternoon. This meeting was to discuss the proposed new greenfield airport in Kota. After this, an MOU was signed between AIA and the state government. During this, apart from CM Bhajanlal Sharma, UDH Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra, Education Minister Madan Dilawar, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Chief Minister ACS Shikhar Agarwal and many other officials were present.
After the MoU regarding Kota Greenfield Airport, CM Bhajanlal Sharma said the work will soon be visible on the ground. The state government had announced the Greenfield Airport in the budget. CM Bhajan Lal said that the airport in Kota will be a milestone in providing air facilities to the people. Its construction will not only boost tourism in the state but will also increase education and business activities. The air sector is focused on the same scale at which roads and railways are expanding in the state.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also made special efforts for the Kota Greenfield Airport
Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma said that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also made special efforts for Kota Greenfield Airport. He mentioned that the previous administration’s negative stance toward the airport in Kota caused project delays. But now our government will complete the work of this airport on time and dedicate it to the public.
Furthermore, CM said that the terminal capacity of Jaipur Airport is also being expanded. At present its capacity is 50 lakh passengers per year. Which will increase to 70 lakh passengers per year after expansion. Moreover, he urged the Chairman of the Airports Authority of India to immediately start the work for the new state terminal at Jaipur Airport.
The Chief Minister said that the state government will provide free land for the development and expansion of Udaipur Airport. Moreover, the govt. will provide the permanent civil enclave and approach road at Uttarlai (Barmer) Airport.
