MANAV stands at the centre of a new global era. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed the India AI Impact Summit 2026 with a powerful message. He shared a bold roadmap for artificial intelligence. This vision is not just about code or chips. It is about the people who use them. India wants to ensure that technology serves humanity. We must not let humans become mere data points. The MANAV vision is our guide to a safer and better tomorrow.
‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ is being organised on a large scale in India. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially inaugurated the ‘India AI Impact Summit-2026’ at Bharatam Mandapam in Delhi. On this occasion, many global leaders and tech leaders including French President Emmanuel Macron and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva are also present at Bharatam Mandapam.
MANAV: The Core Pillars of India’s AI Strategy
MANAV is more than a word; it is an acronym for a human-centric framework. PM Modi said MANAV means human and explained MANAV vision by explaining each letter with great clarity. This human vision of India will become an important link for the welfare of humanity in the AI-based world of the 21st century.
- M — Moral and Ethical Systems: AI must follow ethical rules. We cannot leave technology without a moral compass.
- A — Accountable Governance: Every system needs transparent rules. There must be strong oversight for every AI action.
- N — National Sovereignty: Data belongs to the people. Every nation should have the right to its own digital assets.
- A — Accessible and Inclusive: AI should be a tool for everyone. It must bridge the gap, not create a monopoly.
- V — Valid and Legitimate: Systems must be lawful. We need technology that is reliable and verifiable.
This framework seeks to protect our digital future. It ensures that the AI Summit discussions lead to real-world safety. Transitioning from machine-centric to human-centric models is now a global priority.

MANAV Vision for Global Common Good
MANAV vision highlights the need for shared progress. PM Modi spoke about the “Global Common Good” during his speech. He noted that AI is a transformative power. It can be a solution if it has the right direction. However, it can be disrupted if it is directionless. Therefore, we must keep the command in human hands. India is leading this change for the Global South. We want to democratize technology for every citizen.
Technology should empower people, not just power machines. The Prime Minister used the metaphor of a GPS. It shows us the way, but we choose the destination. This is the heart of the MANAV approach. We are building a resilient ecosystem with semiconductors and quantum computing. These tools will help us innovate faster in healthcare and agriculture.
