According to official sources, Neeru Yadav will share her views on the topic ‘Leadership Experience’ of elected representatives in the annual conference “CPD Meet-2024” organized by CDP on May 3. The annual meeting of the Population and Development Commission will be held in New York from April 29 to May 3. The annual meeting aims to review the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Who is Neeru Yadav
Neeru Yadav is a Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Lambi Ahir of Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. She is originally from Haryana. Neeru Yadan has earned several academic degrees, including BSc, MSc, B.Ed, M.Ed and PhD. After marrying engineer Ashok Yadav, Neeru Yadav decided to contest the Sarpanch elections in the year 2020. Neeru Yadav had won the Sarpanch election with a huge vote. She had also created history by becoming the first woman sarpanch of Lambi Ahir village.

Neeru Yadav after becoming sarpanch kept girls on priority. Moreover, she has taken many new initiatives in her Panchayat. One of the initiatives was preparing the girls’ hockey team of the Panchayat. Furthermore, making them practice regularly through coaches. The surprising thing is that she also hired a coach for those girls from her salary. She also kept an eye on their entire training. Moreover, she took care of all their needs. She takes the girls to the ground in the morning and trains them.
Made the village plastic-free
Neeru Yadav also runs a utensil bank. She rents utensils to people. But doesn’t take any money. It sounds strange but it is true. She gives utensils to people to use. So that no one uses plastic disposables. Furthermore, she aims to make the village ‘garbage and plastic free’.
Neeru also started a new campaign to promote the environment by giving trees as Kanyadaan on marriage. She has distributed 21000 free saplings in government schools under the Mera Ped-Mera Dost campaign.
Neeru Yadav, who celebrates her birthday as Road Safety Day, has so far distributed 1100 ISI mark helmets.
Neeru Yadav also works for farmers
Neeru is the first woman Sarpanch of India who runs FPO under the name of Sachhi Saheli Mahila Agro. Due to this, farmers get fertilizers, seeds or other materials at lower prices. Not only this, Neeru also trained 10 girls under the PMKVY scheme. Even after this she also helped them in getting jobs in multinational companies.
Neeru Yadav has also been honoured with the Education Award by the Rajasthan Government for her good work in the field of education. Neeru has received recognition from the education department of the state government for her contribution to the development of government school buildings and other infrastructure.

The fame she got as Hockey Wali Sarpanch gave her a chance to become a celebrity in KBC and she reached the hot seat. She is the first woman to reach the hot seat from Shekhawati.
