Priyanka Gandhi will debut in politics by contesting for the first time in the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.
Priyanka Gandhi, full name Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, is an Indian politician and member of the Indian National Congress (INC). Born on January 12, 1972, she is the daughter of Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, and the granddaughter of Indira Gandhi, one of India’s most prominent political families. Her brother, Rahul Gandhi, is also a notable politician within the INC.
Priyanka has been active in Indian politics for many years, though she formally entered the political arena in a significant way more recently. Mallikarjun Kharge announced about debut of Priyanka Gandhi
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will remain MP from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. He will leave the Wayanad seat of Kerala. Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge gave this information on Monday. Kharge said that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will contest the by-election from Wayanad parliamentary seat. With this announcement, Priyanka Gandhi is also going to debut in politics. This will be the first time that she will contest elections.
Mallikarjun Kharge said Rahul Gandhi has won the Lok Sabha elections on two seats. Due to this, he will have to give up one seat. The party has decided that Rahul Gandhi should keep the Rae Bareli seat. Because his family has a connection with the people of Rae Bareli. The members of the Gandhi family have been contesting elections for generations from Rae Bareli. Therefore, public and party leaders also say that it would be good for Congress for Rahul Gandhi should remain the MP from Rae Bareli.
Rahul has also got the love of the people of Wayanad. The people there also want Rahul Gandhi to remain MP from Wayanad. But, the law does not allow this. This is the reason why after careful consideration we have decided to contest the elections of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on the vacant seat from Wayanad.
