Surendra Pal Singh TT has resigned from the Rajasthan cabinet minister post yesterday. The governor has accepted his resignation. In the elections of Karanpur assembly constituency, Congress candidate Rupinder Singh alias Ruby Kunnar has defeated BJP candidate and recently made minister Surendra Pal Singh TT. Kunnar defeated BJP candidate and Minister of State Surendrapal Singh TT by a margin of 11 thousand 283 votes.
Surendra Pal Singh TT has the department but has not yet taken charge of the secretariat. TT has been allotted a room in the main building. TT is probably the first minister who became a minister without becoming an MLA. Moreover, he lost the election after taking oath as a minister.

The defeat of TT has dealt a big blow to both the BJP government and the organization. This was the first political test of the BJP after the formation of the government. Which both the power and the organization could not pass. Surendra Pal Singh TT has resigned from the post of minister after losing the election from the Srikaranpur assembly seat in the Sriganganagar district. Governor Kalraj Mishra has accepted his resignation.
Defeat of Surendra Pal Singh TT
The elections were postponed due to the death of Gurmeet Singh Kunnar, former MLA from Karanpur and Congress candidate. After the announcement of the elections, Congress played the sympathy card by making his son Rupinder Singh Ruby Kunnar a candidate. At the same time, BJP not only made former MLA Surendrapal Singh TT its candidate. But also played a big political gamble by making him Minister of State in the newly formed government before the voting. But in the counting of votes held on Monday, the Minister of State TT had to face defeat.
Excitement in the first round, disappointment in the second round
When BJP candidate TT got a lead of 724 votes in the first round, there was a wave of happiness among BJP people and TT supporters. At the counting venue, the counting agents raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram. This happiness evaporated in the next round. In the second round, Kunnar of Congress performed well and gained a lead of 184 votes, stopping TT’s lead.
Of the total 18 rounds, apart from the first and fifteenth rounds, there was not even a single round in which TT got the lead. Only Congress candidates were ahead in 16 out of 18 rounds. The deposits of other candidates were confiscated.
Kunnar remained ahead of Surendra Pal Singh TT in the postal ballot vote.
Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Ruby Kunnar was also ahead of BJP candidate Surendrapal Singh TT by twenty votes in the postal ballot paper vote. While Kunnar got 189 votes, TT got only 167 votes. Aam Aadmi Party’s Prithipal Singh Sandhu got only 28 votes.
