Agnimitra Paul also took the oath and became part of the new Bengal cabinet. She is an MLA from Asansol and has also been included in the new Bengal government. Agnimitra Paul also won the 2021 assembly elections from Asansol South, defeating Sayani Ghosh of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in a close contest. Agnimitra Paul won again in 2026, this time defeating Tapas Banerjee of the All India Trinamool Congress.
Nisith Pramanik
Nisith Pramanik joined the ministry during the swearing-in ceremony. He is a young leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a member of the Rajbanshi community, and has also secured a place in Shubhendu’s government. In the assembly elections, Nisith Pramanik won the Mathabhanga seat in Cooch Behar district by over 57,000 votes. He previously served as a Union Minister of State and also won the 2021 assembly elections.
Ashok Kirtania and Kshudiram Tudu
Both leaders were included in the first phase of the cabinet formation process.
Ashok Kirtania, who belongs to the Matua community, won the Bangaon North seat by 40 thousand votes and has now been made a minister in the West Bengal government. Khudiram Tudu was sworn in as the next minister in Subhendu Adhikari’s government. A tribal member, he won the Ranibandh seat by over 50,000 votes.
