Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took an oath once again for the record of the ninth time. This time Nitish Kumar allied with NDA. Earlier he was uniting the opposition to defeat NDA. This morning he resigned from the chief minister post and broke up Alliance with RJD.
The swearing-in ceremony was held in Raj Bhawan, Bihar at 5 PM today on the 28th of January 2024. The Governor of Bihar administers the oath to the Bihar Chief Minister and Cabinet Ministers. A total of 8 cabinet ministers took an oath. Out of them, 3 are from BJP, 3 from JDU, one from HAM and one Independent.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister
BJP State President Samarat Chowdary and Vijay Sinha took an oath along with the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Both will be Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar.
As the state president Samarat Chowdary used to criticise Nitish Kumar on several occasions. Moreover, Vijay Sinha as opposition leader in the Vidhan Sabha, was against Nitish Kumar and had certain hot conversations with him in the house. Now both will be working along with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Vijay Chowdary and others took an oath
Vijay Chowdary who has been finance minister also took an oath along with Nitish Kumar. Vijay Chowdary is from JDU and one of the closest to Nitish Kumar. JDU leaders Brijendra Prasad Yadav and Sharvan Kumar also took an oath as cabinet ministers.
Apart from this, BJP leader Prem Kumar took an oath as a cabinet minister.
Moreover, Santosh Kumar Suman the son of Jitenram Manjhi (president of the HAM party) took the oath. HAM has four MLAs in Bihar Vidhan Sabha.
At last Sumit Kumar Singh, an Independent MLA has taken the oath. He is very close to Nitish Kumar and had been a minister in the previous cabinet.
