Hindustan Copper Limited mine workers are rescued safely

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a public sector enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. It was established in 1967. Hindustan Copper Limited is the only vertically integrated copper-producing company in India. Furthermore, it covers activities ranging from mining, beneficiation, smelting, refining, and casting of refined copper metal into downstream saleable products. HCL operates mines in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Additionally, the primary mining operations include underground and open-cast mines.

On Tuesday night 15 people were trapped in the Kolihan mine of Hindustan Copper Limited in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan. Inspection was going on in the mine on Tuesday night. Then at 8:10 pm, the vertical lift chain broke at a depth of 1875 feet. In this accident, 15 people, including the Vigilance team of Kolkata and officials of Khetri Copper Corporation, were trapped in the mine.

Rescue Operation Started in Hindustan Copper Limited Kolihan Mine

After receiving the information Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma instructed the concerned officials to immediately reach the spot. Furthermore, instructions were given to speed up the relief and rescue operations and provide all possible help and health facilities to the affected people. Shortly after receiving information about the collapse of the elevator, ambulances rushed to the scene. Moreover, doctors were asked to prepare for any situation.

BJP MLA from Khetri Dharampal Gurjar reached the spot and took stock after receiving information. Chief Vigilance Officer Upendra Pandey has died in the mine accident. Moreover, according to Dr Praveen Sharma of the government hospital of Jhunjhunu, three rescued people sustained serious injuries. Afterwards, they were referred to Jaipur for treatment.

Delhi Police received a call from Swati Maliwal

Senior AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal has accused CM Arvind Kejriwal’s secretary (PA) Bibhav Kumar of allegedly assaulting her. It is being told that Swati has called Delhi Police. When the police team reached Delhi CM Kejriwal’s house Swati left CM’s house and reached the police station.

Chhattisgarh High Court said Live-in Relationship is a Stigma

Chhattisgarh High Court, during the hearing of a case, said that the concept of live-in relationships remains a stigma in Indian culture. Because it is against traditional Indian beliefs. Case Hearing in Chhattisgarh High Court

Dantewada’s Family Court rejected Abdul Hameed Siddiqui’s petition in December 2023 regarding the custody of the child. After this, he filed a petition in the High Court. ED has recovered crores from the servant of PS of Jharkhand Minister

ED arrested the Chief Engineer of Jharkhand Rural Development Department, Virendra K. Ram in a money laundering case in February last year.

According to the information, property worth Rs 150 crore was found at Virendra’s place. Apart from this, gold jewellery worth two crores was also recovered. ED also recovered a laptop and some pen drives from Virendra Ram. ED had started raiding 24 locations of Virendra on February 21 last year which ended on February 22. Virendra Ram was interrogated by the agency for two days based on the documents recovered from him during this raid.

The ED had told the court that an investigation of the bank accounts of Virendra and his family revealed money disproportionate to their legal sources of income. It is alleged that Ram acquired movable and immovable properties in the name of his father, wife and other family members. This wealth is not in proportion to the family income. A complaint in a money laundering case was filed against Virendra Ram in September 2020.

ED Raid is going on

Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited will start again

Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited whose operation was closed in 2016 will start again. Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited is established in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area (VKI) at Jaipur. This is the only government pharmaceutical company in Rajasthan.

After restarting the company, self-reliance in terms of the availability of medicines of Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation, operated under the Medical and Health Department, will increase. The company has a high level of testing laboratory capacity for ORS, cough syrups and seasonal and other medicines including swine flu. Rajasthan Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited was registered in November 1978 and was established in July 1979. Its production has been going on since 1981, which stopped in the year 2016.

The company was profitable till the year 2014

On December 28, 2016, the Central Cabinet had decided to close this company. It was decided to repay the liabilities by selling all the movable and immovable assets of the company. At that time, out of 126 employees and officers, 101 were given voluntary retirement but 25 employees did not accept it. The company continued to earn profits until 2014. In the year 2011, 455 employees and officers were employed in the company. During the last government, the Cabinet had also approved to start it.
