    Lok Sabha election dates announced

    The Lok Sabha election dates were announced by the Election Commission in a press conference on Saturday afternoon. It was revealed yesterday at 3 pm on Saturday when the Lok Sabha elections will be held. The Election Commission announced the dates for the elections of the 18th Lok Sabha.

    Lok Sabha Election Dates Announced by ECI

    Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has announced the Lok Sabha election dates. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that our team is ready for the elections. He said that 97 crore voters will vote in the elections. There will be 10.5 lakh polling stations, while 55 lakh EVMs will be used.

    During the press conference, CEC said that there will be no garbage at the polling booth after the elections. Moreover, the carbon footprint will be the lowest. Furthermore, information about booths and candidates will be available through KYC, Voter Help Line and C Vigil App Sub-Voter Card. Additionally, contract staff or volunteers will not be deployed for election duty.

    Voting in seven phase

    While announcing the Lok Sabha Election dates it was also announced that the voting will be held in 7 phases in the country. While a total of 22 states and union territories will see voting on just one polling day, three states will see voting in all seven phases. Moreover, states with the highest number of voting dates include Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal. Furthermore, voting will be held in a single phase in almost all union territories except Jammu and Kashmir.

    First phase on 19 April

    The first phase of election will be held in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Andaman Nicobar, Jammu Kashmir, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

    The second phase on 26 April

    Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states in which elections will be held in the second phase.

    Third phase on 7 May

    In the third phase, the election will be held in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Dadar Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu.

    Fourth on 13 May

    Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states where election will be held.

    Fifth on 20 May

    On the 20th of May 2024, the election will be held in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

    Sixth on 25 May

    Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Delhi elections will be held on the 25th of May 2024.

    Seventh phase on 1 June.

    On last Lok Sabha election date is on the 1st of June 2024, the election will be held in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Chandigarh.

    Moreover, along with this, assembly elections will be held in 4 states. This includes Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

    When will the votes be counted?

    According to the information, the counting of votes will take place 3 days after the end of the elections. Moreover, the results will also be declared on the same day. Furthermore, the counting of votes will take place on June 4. This information is given by the Election Commission of India.
