Network companies say that efforts are being made to restore the service. Florida Senator Marco Rubio has warned of Chinese cyberattacks over widespread US cellular outages. He says that if China starts a cyber attack while attacking Taiwan, the situation may get worse.
Rubio posted on social media platform X and said, ‘I do not know the reason for the outage in America. However, I do know that if China launches a cyber attack on America before attacking Taiwan, the situation will become a hundred times worse. It won’t just be cell service that they attack, it will be your power, your water and your banks.

Notably, massive outages have been reported in the US after ATT’s network was down. Internet service was down in many places. Because of this customers were not able to talk to anyone. First of all, people face problems in making phone calls. After this, they tried to send a text message but it also did not go through. When people were calling, it was showing SOS, which is visible when the network is down. Even the helpline number 911 was not working.
More than 74,000 ATT customers in the US reported cellular outages on digital-service tracking site DownDetector on Thursday. However, customers of other network companies Verizon and T-Mobile have also filed complaints. But the companies say that their network is working normally. ATT acknowledged that there was a widespread cellular outage, but did not provide any reason for the system not working.
US cellular network outage resolved
ATT had said in a statement, ‘Some of our customers are experiencing problems with wireless service since this morning. We are working on it, till then you can use Wi-Fi calling. However, this morning ATT said that the network has been fixed.
The company said, ‘Our network teams took immediate action and so far three-fourths of our network has been restored. We are working as quickly as possible to restore service to remaining customers.
