    BJP Candidates list released for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Rajasthan.

    BJP on Sunday released the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in Rajasthan. In this list, the BJP announced the names of candidates for 7 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan.

    It is noteworthy that till now BJP has declared candidates for 22 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan. Candidates are yet to be declared for 3 seats, which include Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Bhilwara seats. Furthermore, in Rajasthan Lok Sabha elections will be held in two phases. The first phase of voting will be on the 19th of April 2024. The second phase of the election will be on the 26th of April 2024. The results will be declared on the 4th of June 2024.

    BJP preferred new candidates

    In this BJP candidates list BJP has gambled on many new faces. The ticket of the current MP from Jaipur City Ram Charan Bohra has been cancelled. Manju Sharma has been fielded in her place.

    Manju Sharma is the daughter of former MLA and senior BJP leader Bhanwar Lal Sharma. Presently she is the Jaipur in-charge of Rajasthan Mahila Pravashi Abhiyan. Furthermore, Manju Sharma’s father Bhanwar Lal Sharma was MLA from Hawamahal from 1977 to 1998. Moreover, Bhanwarlal Sharma has been MLA from Hawamahal 6 times, the record for the maximum number of MLAs in this area. Later he also remained a minister in the BJP government. Bhanwar Lal was elected once from the Janata Party and 5 times from the BJP ticket. Capitalizing on the theme of Jaipur’s daughter, the party has approved the name of Manju Sharma.

    Prahlad Gunjal took membership of Congress on Thursday in the presence of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasra. Prahlad Gunjal is a former two-time MLA and a senior leader of BJP. It is a major reshuffle in Kota politics.

    Prahlad Gunjal who comes from the background of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, has a lot of influence in the Gurjar community of three to four districts of Rajasthan. He was associated with the BJP for four decades. Furthermore, he was first elected from Ramganjmandi in Kota district in 2003.
