RTU Kota performed social responsibilities on 4 March 2024. Raithal village is adopted by RTU, Kota. The Shramdaan cleanliness campaign was organized in Raithal by RTU Kota. Countless villagers of village Raithal are benefiting from the successful efforts of the rural community development program of Vice Chancellor Prof SK Singh. RTU Kota is writing the story of development with public awareness.

RTU Kota done Shramdaan
A two-day camp on Shramdaan, cleanliness and women empowerment was organized by the University Social Responsibility Cell. It was in collaboration with the University Social Responsibility Cell and the National Service Scheme RTU unit of the University. This camp was organised in the village Raithal adopted by RTU, Kota.
Co-Public Relations Officer Vikram Rathod said that in the past, the commendable work done by the University in village Raithal. This work was done under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Singh through various social projects and public awareness campaigns. Moreover, it has also been appreciated by Raj Bhavan Rajasthan.
The camp also organised seminars on various social issues. The issues related to rural cleanliness and community labour, women empowerment, skill education, village self-employment, self-reliance and women upliftment. In this campaign, the roles of Nodal Officer Prof. SL Meena, Program Officer of NSS Prof Manoj Vaishnav, Prof. Manisha Bhandari and the participating students were commendable.
Importance of Shramdaan Explained
In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Singh emphasized the significance of Shramdaan in life. Furthermore, he explained to the students that it involves the coordination of social and welfare sentiments of the entire world. Moreover, it involves the sentiments of national interest.
Shramdaan is a valuable contribution to the economy and power of a nation. Additionally, Shramdaan is important in promoting community empowerment, optimizing resources and promoting personal development. Furthermore, voluntary labour contributes to building a stronger and more inclusive society, benefiting future generations.
Mr Shanti Lal Meena, Nodal Officer of the University Social Responsibility Cell and Mr Manoj Vaishnav, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme RTU Kota Unit told the people of the village about the importance of cleanliness and women empowerment.
On this occasion, Professor Manisha Bhandari explained the importance of cleanliness to the school students. She stressed the need for cleanliness in our environment. Moreover, she emphasises promoting it among others.

Apart from this, the students of the Social Responsibility Team of the University will dissuade people from superstition. Additionally, to create awareness, street plays were staged and messages were written by writing slogans at various places in the village. Moreover, people were motivated towards cleanliness and other social issues like water conservation and awakening people to vote. Furthermore, the students promoted a cleanliness campaign by cleaning various areas of the village. At the same time, through street drama, students promoted women’s empowerment. Furthermore, opposed social evils like the dowry system and domestic violence through street drama.
