Amrit Bharat Train: Facilitating General Passengers

Amrit Bharat train inauguration was held today by PM Modi at Ayodhya Dham. Indian Railways has ‘introduced’ the new technology Push Pull in the train sets. The name of this train has been given as Amrit Bharat. The special thing about this is that the train is being run for the common people and workers, where there will be sleepers and general classes.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off several trains from Ayodhya Dham to connect Ayodhya Dham with the entire country. This also includes two trains connecting Delhi and Ayodhya. One is Amrit Bharat Express and one is Vande Bharat Express. Vande Bharat train will reach Ayodhya from Delhi via Kanpur, Lucknow. At the same time, Amrit Bharat Express connecting Delhi to Ayodhya will go from Delhi to Darbhanga via Gorakhpur.

    Information about Amrit Bharat

At present, two types of trains are operating in Indian Railways.

The first category in which engines are used includes all mail and express trains, including Shatabdi and Rajdhani.

The second category is train set. Amrit Bharat, Vande Bharat and EMU trains are in this category.

Amrit Bharat Train is the new train of Indian Railways, which will work on the technology of Vande Bharat only. Moreover, it will only consist of general and sleeper coaches. The unique aspect of the Amrit Bharat train is that, unlike regular sleeper trains, it will not increase its speed or decrease the distance between stations. However, the train will still reach its destination faster than other trains.

    Railway Minister Informed

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has given information regarding the country’s first such special train. He said that push-pull technology is being used for the first time in the country. In other train sets including Vande Bharat, the motor is installed after the two coaches.

But the Amrit Bharat train has two engines at the front and rear. The biggest advantage of two engines will be more pickup of the train. Also, when the train slows down, it will pick up speed again in a short time. This can be considered as a modified version of Vande Bharat. Also, a semi-permanent coupling has been installed to connect two coaches.

The Railway Minister stated that the speed of a train is not as important as its acceleration. The train slows down at curves, intersections and signals on the way and it takes time to regain speed. But the Amrit Bharat train can pick up speed again in less time. In this way, it will reach the destination sooner than other sleeper trains.

That’s why Amrit Bharat train is special

    • Push-pull trains will have powerful engines on both sides. The front engine will pull the train, and the rear engine will push it.
    • “When both engines are running, the train’s speed will increase. Additionally, the train will continue to accelerate at the same rate it decelerates at stations. The final speed of the train will be 130 km/h.”
    • Although the Amrit Bharat train will have two engines like the Vande Bharat, its features will be different, which will provide additional special facilities to the passengers.
    • The newly designed coaches will not only ensure a safe journey but also prevent passengers from getting shocks.
    • The train will have only sleepers and general coaches. A total of 22 coaches including 12 sleepers, 8 general, one parcel van and a brake van (guard van) will be installed in a train rake.
    • There will be no power car on this train. Power will be supplied to the coaches from both engines only. This will also protect the environment. Reversal of the engine in the station yard and on the way will provide relief from changing direction.
    • If someone wants to travel on the Amrit Bharat train, they must purchase a ticket by specifying the train name. This has been done because there is a difference in fares between trains. Amrit Bharat may also be written on the ticket.
