The International Olympic Committee approves cricket for LA28 Olympic games. Prior to that, LA28 proposed five new sports for the 2028 Olympic sports program.
Five new sports proposed are softball/baseball, squash, flag football, lacrosse(sixes) and Twenty20 cricket.
These five new proposed sports will be in addition to 28 Olympic sports in LA28’s Olympics.
The International Olympic Committee reviewed the proposals at the 141st IOC meeting in Mumbai.
IOC President Thomas Bach said that the Committee has accepted the proposal for LA28
Twenty20 Cricket will be part of the Olympic from Las Angeles 2028 Olympic games.
