Trains passing Kota will be affected for four months due to yard remodelling work at Mathura station. During this yard remodelling work will start on the Palwal-Mathura section of the Agra division of North Central Railway. At least 10 pairs of trains in the Kota railway division will be affected for about four months. Due to this, hundreds of trains will remain partially or completely cancelled for several days.

Moreover, non-interlocking work and yard remodelling of Mathura station, pre-non-interlocking, non-interlocking and post-non-interlocking work will be done from 27th November to 21st March. In such a situation, many trains running on this route will be affected.

Also, many trains will be run on alternative routes. Apart from this, many trains may run late by hours. These also include 80 trains running through the Kota division. Janshatabdi will be cancelled for almost one month.

  • The changed route of Patna-Kota (13237-39) will run via Agra Cantt, Achhnera and Bharatpur from January 3 to February 4. Similarly, Kota-Patna (13238-40) will run via Bharatpur, Achhnera and Agra from January 5 to February 5.
  • Ekta Nagar-Nizamuddin (20945) leaving on 29th November will run via Bayana, Agra Fort, Mitawal, Ghaziabad and Nizamuddin. Similarly, Nizamuddin-Ekta Nagar (20946) will run on 28th November via Ghaziabad, Mitawal, Agra Fort and Bayana.
