In the seminar organized at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of American chip company Micron, expressed gratitude for the unprecedented cooperation of the state and central government. He said that the day is not far when a strong semiconductor supply chain will be created in India. Moreover, an MOU has been signed between the Gujarat government and Korean company Simtek in the Semiconductor and Electronics Seminar. Apart from this, an agreement has also been reached for collaboration between Micron, NetTech Cisco and NanTech.

CM Bhupendra Patel has assured to make Gujarat a ‘Global Destination for Semiconductor and Electronics Manufacturing’ in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) Semiconductor and Electronics Seminar. He said that Gujarat is the first state in the country to issue a semiconductor policy. Furthermore, the scope of technology in India is increasing rapidly.   1. Gautam Adani, the wealthiest individual in India, recently announced during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 that his company Adani Groups will invest $24 billion in the state of Gujarat over the next five years, which will result in the creation of 1 lakh jobs.
  2. Furthermore, Gautam Adani has announced that his firm will invest $100 billion in green energy in India over the next decade.
  3. On Wednesday, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, announced that the company will establish India’s first world-class carbon fibre facility in Hazira, Gujarat. Additionally, Ambani stated that in 2024, Reliance will build a green energy giga complex on 5,000 acres of land in Jamnagar.
  4. Moreover, Mukesh Ambani has confirmed that India is bidding for the 2036 Olympics. He also stated that Reliance will assist authorities in developmental projects for this purpose.

  3. During the summit, President Toshihiro Suzuki of Suzuki Motor Corporation announced that the company plans to invest ₹35,000 crore in setting up a second manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The goal is to increase the annual production capacity to over 40 lakh units by 2030-31.
  4. Dutch and Singaporean firms have announced investments worth over $7 billion in India for the upcoming financial year. Additionally, global tech firm Nvidia has revealed that its partner company Yotta is planning to launch an “artificial intelligence data centre” in GIFT City before March 2024.
  5. ArcelorMittal plans to construct the world’s largest steel manufacturing factory at Hazira in Gujarat. It will start operating by 2029 with a 24 million tonne per annum capacity, according to chairman Lakshmi Mittal.
  6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India will be among the top three economies in the world in the coming years. He also announced that India has signed significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the United Arab Emirates.
