Vikramaditya faced embarrassment imitating Yogi Adityanath

Vikramaditya faced embarrassment imitating the policies and orders of Yogi Adityanath regarding displaying owners’ names in food establishments. A day after a meeting chaired by Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh directed fast food, hawkers and dhaba owners to put up nameplates and display identity outside their shops, the Sukhu government took a U-turn. The government said on Thursday that no decision has been taken so far.

Congress’ Himachal Pradesh in-charge Rajiv Shukla said today, “Yesterday I spoke to Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan to consider the street vendors policy. It says that whoever sets up his cart at different places to sell his goods should be licensed. He should be controlled so that the police cannot chase him away. Whoever has been given a place, should sit there. For this, an Aadhar card will be required as a document. There is nothing like this that he will have to put up a board at his shop for this. The provision in this policy is that the hawkers should only be designated and controlled. This will reduce encroachment. Himachal is a hilly area. This will also prevent traffic jams here.”

Vikramaditya taken u-turn

In response to the question of whether the decision on this issue will remain intact or will be withdrawn. Minister Vikramaditya Singh said that an all-party committee has been formed on this subject, which also includes BJP MLAs. He reiterated that anyone can come to Himachal and get employment. But it is the responsibility of our government to take care of the interests of the people of the state.

Vikramaditya further said that the Himachal Pradesh High Court has directed to form a committee based on the Act. An all-party body has been formed to decide how to proceed on this, which includes people from all parties including Congress, BJP, CPI and CPI(M).

Earlier, Vikramaditya Singh had said that it is our responsibility to maintain peace in Himachal Pradesh. Outsiders are welcome here, but it is our responsibility to maintain the internal security, law and order and cleanliness of the state. For this, identification of food vendors will be done. Furthermore, it has nothing to do with the decision of the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath ordered to display of names.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a tough stand on the incidents of mixing human waste in food items. Furthermore, he has now made it mandatory to write the name and address of the operator and manager of the food centres in UP. Police verification of every employee of dhabas and restaurants should also be done. Strict action will be taken against those who mix human waste in food items like juice, dal and roti. For this, amendments will also be made to the Food Safety and Standards Act.

During the review meeting of the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department on Tuesday CM Yogi Adityanath took these decisions. The Chief Minister directed that strict action should be taken against those who adulterate food items with dirty things. Moreover, he directed that CCTV arrangements should be made mandatory in food establishments like dhabas, hotels, restaurants etc. Other parts of the establishment including the place where customers sit should also be covered with CCTV cameras. It should be ensured that every establishment operator will keep the CCTV feed safe. Furthermore, they should make it available to the police/local administration if required. Furthermore, there should be cleanliness at food centres. It should be ensured that the concerned person uses a mask/gloves while preparing and serving food items. Moreover, there should be no negligence in this.

Yogi Adityanath said that in recent times, incidents of adulteration of food items like juice, dal and roti with human waste, inedible and dirty things have been seen in various parts of the country. Such incidents will not be tolerated at all. These decisions were imitated by Vikramaditya. Now probably on the instructions of Congress’s high command Vikramaditya has to take a u-turn.
