Voting day today for the Rajasthan state assembly. 5.26 crore voters will decide the fate of 1863 candidates including 182 women candidates.

Today on the 25th November 20203 Saturday, voters in 199 assembly constituencies in the Rajasthan state will decide the fate of candidates.

On Friday, workers of political parties went door-to-door to convince the voters. Concurrently, the personnel conducting pooling reached the polling stations and started decorating them.

Before starting voting on Saturday morning, EVMs and VVPATs have been checked by conducting a mock poll. After that, the mock polled votes were deleted from the EVMs.

Voting will start at 7 in the morning and will continue till 6 in the evening. Voters who will reach the centres before 6 P.M. will be able to exercise their rights.

The Election Department has considered 9 thousand out of 36 thousand areas of the state as sensitive. Adequate security arrangements have been made and observers will also keep a watch. Apart from these, the arrangements at almost half of the polling centres of the state will also be monitored through webcasting.

The Election Commission will endeavour to ensure record voting, home voting, voting of polling personnel and essential service employees has already been done. The figure of this voting is 3 lakh 89 thousand 435. Apart from this, 142221 ballot papers have been issued for service voters deployed in defence and other services.

On voting day today 5 crore 26 lakh 90 thousand 146 voters will use their rights. Moreover, 22,61,008 are new voters and 1,70,99,334 voters are in the age group of 18 to 30.

On voting day 2 lakh 74 thousand 846 polling personnel and 6247 sector officers deployed for monitoring. Moreover, 1,02,290 police, home guard soldiers and 700 companies of RAC-CAPF for security are been deployed.

A total of 51,507 polling stations at 36,101 locations are been selected for polling day today. Out of this 10,501 are in urban and 41,006 in rural areas. Moreover, 65,277 ballot units, 62,372 control units and 67,580 VVPAT machines will be used for the polling day.

For the election day, 3 flying squads and 3 SST teams are deployed in each assembly constituency.

A total of 41,224 big and small vehicles were acquired for voting day today.
