To increase this number, the state government has increased women reservation in police recruitment from 30 to 33%.

Prime Minister is determined to women power
CM Bhajanlal said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working with commitment towards women’s empowerment. On his initiative, Parliament has passed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. By this act, women will get 33% reservation in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies. Moreover, their participation in democracy will be ensured.
CM Bhajan Lal stated that through the Lakhpati Didi scheme, the Prime Minister is fulfilling the pledge of making 3 crore women in the country financially independent. Furthermore, increasing the paid maternity leave to 26 weeks and opening 3.2 crore Sukanya Samriddhi accounts.
Women’s welfare is a top priority of the state government
CM Bhajanlal said that the state government has taken many important steps for women’s welfare. About 73 lakh families are being benefited by providing domestic gas cylinders to women for Rs 450. He said that the state government has also launched the Lado Protsahan Yojana. Furthermore, this scheme is to provide savings bonds of Rs 1 lakh on the birth of girl children in poor families. Moreover, the honorarium of Panchayati Raj and urban bodies, Anganwadi workers and assistants has been increased by 10%.
More employment opportunities with the increase in women reservation
