Amrita Duhan IPS of the Rajasthan 2016 batch is now Superintendent of Police of Kota City. She is the first lady SP of Kota. Newly appointed Superintendent of Police Amrita Duhan assured that every possible effort will be made to reduce crime in Kota City.
Her focus will be to reduce the stress of the students staying in Kota for coaching. She said the children coming to Kota would be kept safe and solve their problems. Furthermore, children from all over the country come here and make Kota famous all over the world. If something happens to them, the message goes across the country and touches the heart.
Amrita Duhan have also gone through this stress
Referring to her student life, Kota’s newly appointed Superintendent of Police Amrita Duhan said that I too have gone through this mentality when I was preparing for medical. There is stress and pressure on parents too, I am well aware of this. She said that we will make collective efforts including hostel operators, mess operators, coaching institutes and district administration for the betterment of the children.
Furthermore, Dr Amrita Duhan, known as a powerful female police officer, is originally from Haryana. Duhan said that she did an MBBS in 2007 and a PG in 2011. After that, she worked as a doctor in Medical College, Haryana. During this time she also kept preparing for civil services. In 2018, she was selected for the post of IPS.
Amrita Duhan transferred to Kota
Recently, the state government of Rajasthan transferred many IPS officers. Under this, Kota City Superintendent of Police Sharad Chaudhary has been transferred to Jodhpur. During this, for the first time, the command of Kota city was handed over to a woman IPS. Furthermore, Amrita Duhan has taken charge as Kota City Superintendent of Police on Monday (February 19).
In the past too, she had held the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police here for about one and a half years. Furthermore, she remained Circle Officer Circle IV (CO) for about one and a half years. Moreover, she is well aware of the crime in Kota City. This experience will help her in improving the policing of Kota City.

Lady Singham Amrita Duhan IPS recently came into the limelight when she caught 22 criminals of the Lawrence Gang. In fact, during her posting in Jodhpur, the operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang threatened IPS Amrita Duhan several times through social media. After this Duhan formed a special team and first identified such miscreants and then raided their hideouts. Moreover, 22 miscreants were caught in this action. After this action, there was panic among Lawrence Bishnoi operatives.
