The National Career Service Portal Will compete with private job platforms

The National Career Service Portal has increased job postings 3 times in 2023-24, now preparations are being made to connect private sector companies also with this portal. Moreover, 1.09 crore jobs were listed on the government’s National Career Service portal in the year 2023-24.

The Central Government’s National Career Service Portal (NCS) is now preparing to compete with private job platforms like Naukri.com, Monster.com and Shine Jobs. Amidst the increasing unemployment in the country, the NCS is also preparing to add private-sector companies to its platform. NCS is to help job seekers find employment opportunities both in India and overseas.

More than 4 crore job seekers and more than 26 lakh employers (companies) nationwide are currently connected to this portal. In the year 2023-24, 1.09 crore job openings were posted on the NCS. The number of jobs posted was only 34.8 lakh in 2022-23. That means job postings increased three times in just one year.

What is the National Career Service Portal

The National Career Service (NCS) Portal is an initiative by the Indian Government to provide a wide range of employment-related services to job seekers and employers. Launched in 2015, the portal aims to bridge the gap between job seekers and employers. This portal offers various services such as job search, career counselling, skill assessment, information on training programs, resume building, and job fairs.

Indian Army successfully tests indigenous ‘Man-Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile’

Indian army successfully tested indigenously ‘Man-Portable Anti-Tank Guided Missile’ (MPATGM) weapon system in the Pokhran Field Firing Range of Rajasthan. It can be easily carried anywhere. Also, it is capable of targeting enemy tanks from anywhere.

MPATGM weapon system has been developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). The system consisted of the MPATGM, Launcher, Target Acquisition System, and Fire Control Unit. Several flight configurations were field-evaluated to prove the superior technology multiple times. Furthermore, it is suitable for both day and night operations. The addition of dual-mode seeker functionality to the missile capability for tank warfare is a significant improvement.

Technology development and successful demonstration of this system have been completed, and it is now ready for final user evaluation trials. These trials will lead to the system’s induction into the Indian Army.

A Man-Portable Anti Tank Guided Missile is a type of missile system designed to be carried and operated by an individual soldier or small team. Furthermore, these missiles are used primarily to engage and destroy armoured vehicles, including tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and other fortified targets.

Man-portable ATGMs are typically shoulder-fired or launched from a portable tripod or vehicle mount. Some advanced MPATGMs also incorporate fire-and-forget capabilities, allowing the operator to fire the missile and then manoeuvre or take cover while the missile autonomously tracks and engages the target.

Delhi CM remand extended despite big expose of scam

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been sent to Rouse Avenue Court on ED remand till April 1. Now the decision regarding his bail and jail will be taken on 1st April. Kejriwal was presented in the court today on Thursday. The investigating agency had sought a remand of 7 days from the court. His previous remand (Arvind Kejriwal ED Remand) was ending.

Before that, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested for a Delhi liquor scam on the 21st of March 2024. For more details read here. After his arrest, he was presented in court and was sent on remand for six days.

In this hearing, ASG SV Raju and special counsel Zoheb Hussain appeared through VC on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate. Senior lawyer Ramesh Gupta appeared in the court on behalf of Kejriwal. Additionally, Delhi Police had tightened security arrangements for the appearance of the Delhi Chief Minister. Police were already on alert at many places.

The Enforcement Directorate has alleged that digital data is to be taken from Kejriwal. Moreover, he did not give the password of Data’s device. Furthermore, along with this, many people are yet to be interrogated face to face. In such a situation, seven more days of custody should be given.

However, in the court, the ED sought more time to prepare its reply to the petition. It was argued that the petition was given on Tuesday itself and he should be given three more weeks. Furthermore, Kejriwal’s counsel, senior advocate AM Singhvi, argued that ED’s asking for more time was just a delay tactic.

Delhi HC rejected Kejriwal’s interim plea to be released from ED custody. Moreover, Delhi HC asked to submit a reply on the 3rd of April 2024. The next hearing will be done on the 3rd of April 2024.

Arvind Kejriwal Arrested in Delhi Liquor Scam

Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi liquor scam. He was arrested yesterday at around 9 pm after two hours of inquiry at his residence.

Before the arrest, the ED had issued nine summons to Arvind Kejriwal for an inquiry into the Delhi liquor scam. But Arvind refused to appear for an inquiry giving different reasons. Moreover, it was been said by the AAP that the summons were illegal.

The petition by Arvind Kejriwal was rejected

After the ninth summons, Kejriwal filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to seek protection. The Delhi High Court on Thursday rejected Arvind Kejriwal’s petition seeking protection from arrest in the liquor policy case and refused to stay the arrest.

ED had sent the ninth summons to CM Arvind Kejriwal, in which he had to appear before the ED on Thursday. Instead of appearing to ED Kejriwal moved the Delhi High Court against it. After the hearing, the court refused to grant relief and said, “We cannot give any interim protection regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.”

After the court denied giving any interim protection, the ED team went to the residence of Kejriwal with a search warrant at around 7 pm. Moreover, officers also searched his house along with the inquiry. After the search and inquiry, the ED arrested him.

Lok Sabha election dates announced

The Lok Sabha election dates were announced by the Election Commission in a press conference on Saturday afternoon. It was revealed yesterday at 3 pm on Saturday when the Lok Sabha elections will be held. The Election Commission announced the dates for the elections of the 18th Lok Sabha.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has announced the Lok Sabha election dates. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that our team is ready for the elections. He said that 97 crore voters will vote in the elections. There will be 10.5 lakh polling stations, while 55 lakh EVMs will be used.

During the press conference, CEC said that there will be no garbage at the polling booth after the elections. Moreover, the carbon footprint will be the lowest. Furthermore, information about booths and candidates will be available through KYC, Voter Help Line and C Vigil App Sub-Voter Card. Additionally, contract staff or volunteers will not be deployed for election duty.

Voting in seven phase

While a total of 22 states and union territories will see voting on just one polling day, three states will see voting in all seven phases. The second phase on 26 April

Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states in which elections will be held in the second phase.

Third phase on 7 May

In the third phase, the election will be held in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Dadar Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu.

Fourth on 13 May

Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states where election will be held.

Fifth on 20 May

On the 20th of May 2024, the election will be held in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Sixth on 25 May

Bihar, Haryana, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Delhi elections will be held on the 25th of May 2024.

Seventh phase on 1 June.

On last Lok Sabha election date is on the 1st of June 2024, the election will be held in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Chandigarh.

Moreover, along with this, assembly elections will be held in 4 states. This includes Odisha, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh.

National Creators Award 2024 were given to content creators and Influencers for the first time in India by PM Modi in Bharat Mandpam New Delhi Yesterday on 8th March 2024.

What is the National Creators Award 2024

With the rise of social media millions of content creators became active on these platforms. These creators are providing awareness on various issues such as environment, technology and health and fitness. Moreover, they educated the masses by providing general knowledge and educational topics. Furthermore, many creators are talking about fashion and travel guides.

Content creation is becoming a new profession in India and it is developing at a fast pace. Moreover, content creators are making enough money apart from doing social causes.

Hence, PM Modi launched this new award category.

The National Creators Award 2024 was India’s first-ever award ceremony that celebrated and recognized content creators across various online platforms. Furthermore, it aimed to highlight the influence these creators have on different aspects of Indian life. Moreover, these awards were given to boost creativity. It is to recognise and empower digital creators.

Selection Process

The National Creators Award 2024 had a two-pronged selection process:

Nominations:
- The award had a nomination window open on the Innovate India website.
- Creators had nominated themselves (self-nomination) in up to three relevant categories.
- The nomination period was between February 10th and 29th, 2024.
Evaluation and Public Vote:

Nominations were evaluated based on a set of criteria including creativity, impact, reach, innovation, sustainability, and alignment with the award’s goals. The public also played a role by casting votes for their favourite nominees across the various categories.

A jury used a combination of these evaluations and public votes to determine the final winners. The number of followers or subscribers a creator had was considered during the evaluation process, but the exact weight it carried is not publicly known. Additionally, the follower count was a snapshot taken on a specific date, February 9th, 2024.

The National Creators Award 2024 received over 150,000 nominations across 20 categories, with 1 million votes cast during selection.

A total of 23 winners were chosen in the end, including three creators from other countries. Furthermore, these winners were recognized in diverse categories such as Best Storyteller, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator, Green Champion, Social Change Advocate, etc. Moreover, this diversity of recognition highlights the vast influence that digital creators have on various aspects of Indian life.

AI Teacher Taught in a School in India

An AI Teacher taught in a school in India. The first AI teacher arrived at Kerala school wearing a saree. This teacher communicates in three languages. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, AI teacher is equipped with programming like Chat GPT.

The country has got its first AI teacher. A robot teacher named Iris has been introduced in a school in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It has been made with the help of ‘MakerLabs Edutech’ company. According to the company, Iris is the country’s first generative AI teacher. In the state’s KTCT school, the AI teacher was seen in a saree and she also shook hands with the children.

These are the features of AI Teacher

Iris is a part of the ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) scheme of the Government of India. Its objective is to increase recreational activities among children in schools. According to media reports, it can communicate in three major languages and it can answer even the most difficult questions of students very easily.

Moreover, She can personalize learning experiences for students. Iris’s knowledge base is built on programming like ChatGPT. It is more comprehensive than other automatic learning tools. It has an Intel processor and a co-processor, which will handle many types of commands.

The human-made Iris rotates on four wheels. Moreover, the microphone around Iris’s neck has been decorated in the form of a necklace and a speaker has been installed in it to talk. While Iris is a first step, she represents the potential of AI to transform education by making learning more engaging and effective.
