    Major Incident on Mahashivratri in Kota

    A major incident took place in Kota on the day of Mahashivratri. 18 children got burnt due to electric shock while taking out a Shiv procession in the Kunhadi area. The condition of one of them is critical.

    According to Assistant Sub Inspector Raees Ahmed of Kunhadi police station, the accident took place in Kali Basti located near the thermal power plant. These people were taking out a Shiva procession on Mahashivratri, in which children were also included. The children had a flag in their hands, which touched the tension line passing through there. After this, the current spread among the children and some children got burnt.

    There was an outcry on the spot after the incident. The children were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. Police also reached the spot on information. According to ASI Raees Ahmed, the names of 18 injured children have been revealed so far.

    Flag touched by tension line

    Kunhadi police station officer Arvind Bhardwaj said that these people were carrying out Kalash Yatra on Mahashivratri from Ramdev temple to Hanuman temple. During this time, women and children were all involved in this journey and this accident happened during that time. The injured children are Saman, Suraj, Lokesh, Dheeraj, Prince, Yash, Rishi, Kushal, Sameer, Himanshu, Anirudh, Maxu, Saawariya, Sinaria, Monu, Anjali and Manvi. The age of the children burnt in the accident is between 12 to 15 years. Among these, 13-year-old Shagun son of Mangilal is seriously injured and has been taken to the CPR room for treatment. Apart from this, a woman has also been injured due to electric shock.

    On the question of legal action in this matter, Police Officer Bhardwaj said that at present, getting the children treated is a priority and we are engaged in that. The root causes of the incident will be investigated and later, if legal action is required, legal action will be taken.

    Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met the children

    After getting information about the incident, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and State Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar reached MBS hospital. They met the injured children and gave directions to the hospital management for proper treatment of the children. Along with taking information from the doctors, he also inquired about the well-being of the burnt children. After meeting the children, Speaker Birla said that guidelines have been given for their proper treatment. One child is serious, special doctors have been asked to take care of him. He said that if necessary, seriously injured children would be referred to other hospitals.

    Administration officials including IG Ravi Dutt Gaur, District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami and SP Dr. Amrita Duhan have reached the spot. This matter is also being investigated.

    CM Bhajanlal Sharma took action after Kota’s current accident on Mahashivratri

    CM Bhajanlal Sharma has expressed grief over the incident. Moreover, instructions have been given to provide all possible medical assistance to the injured by CM. Furthermore, CM wrote on the social media site X.

    RTU Kota done Shramdaan

    A two-day camp on Shramdaan, cleanliness and women empowerment was organized by the University Social Responsibility Cell. It was in collaboration with the University Social Responsibility Cell and the National Service Scheme RTU unit of the University. This camp was organised in the village Raithal adopted by RTU, Kota.

    Co-Public Relations Officer Vikram Rathod said that in the past, the commendable work done by the University in village Raithal. This work was done under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Singh through various social projects and public awareness campaigns. Moreover, it has also been appreciated by Raj Bhavan Rajasthan.

    The camp also organised seminars on various social issues. The issues related to rural cleanliness and community labour, women empowerment, skill education, village self-employment, self-reliance and women upliftment. In this campaign, the roles of Nodal Officer Prof. SL Meena, Program Officer of NSS Prof Manoj Vaishnav, Prof. Manisha Bhandari and the participating students were commendable.

    Importance of Shramdaan Explained

    In his message, Vice Chancellor Prof. SK Singh emphasized the significance of Shramdaan in life. Furthermore, he explained to the students that it involves the coordination of social and welfare sentiments of the entire world. Moreover, it involves the sentiments of national interest.

Additionally, Shramdaan is important in promoting community empowerment, optimizing resources and promoting personal development.     Mr Shanti Lal Meena, Nodal Officer of the University Social Responsibility Cell and Mr Manoj Vaishnav, Program Officer of the National Service Scheme RTU Kota Unit told the people of the village about the importance of cleanliness and women empowerment.

    On this occasion, Professor Manisha Bhandari explained the importance of cleanliness to the school students. She stressed the need for cleanliness in our environment. Moreover, she emphasises promoting it among others.

    Apart from this, the students of the Social Responsibility Team of the University will dissuade people from superstition. Additionally, to create awareness, street plays were staged and messages were written by writing slogans at various places in the village. Moreover, people were motivated towards cleanliness and other social issues like water conservation and awakening people to vote.
