Groupism comes in front of the public during a Congress party meeting in Kota. Congress held a meeting in the party office on Friday regarding preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Groupism has come to the fore in this. In the meeting, sharp words were exchanged between Congress candidate Prahlad Gunjal and former minister and senior leader Shanti Dhariwal.

Supporters of both created a ruckus in the middle of the meeting and raised slogans against each other. Slogans of Murdabad were also raised. Within a short time, the atmosphere turned sour. Because of the strong opposition, Gunjal had to leave the meeting. After this Dhariwal also left the meeting. With Gunjal coming to Congress, the internal factionalism in the party office came out into the open.

The address of Gunjal and other officials had been completed in the meeting and Dhariwal was to address last, but at first, Dhariwal refused to address the meeting. But the workers requested that he will have to say two words.

Groupism came to the fore after Dhariwal demand

As soon as Dhariwal took over the mike, he said that Gunjal Saab should publicly apologize for the false allegations of corruption regarding the Chambal River Front and the wrong construction of the riverfront. Moreover, he asked Gunjal that all the allegations he made while in the BJP were wrong and false. Furthermore, he said that NGT has also accepted the construction of the Chambal River Front as correct.

Gunjal did not apologize for this. Just said that after joining Congress the allegations were over. Dhariwal got angry about this and said in clear words that he would have to apologise. While Dhariwal was speaking, Gunjal stood up angrily. Seeing this, Gunjal’s supporters started raising slogans against Dhariwal.

Meanwhile, former city general secretary Sanjay Yadav, Deputy Mayor Sonu Qureshi, Chetan and many other supporters of Dhariwal also stood up and started raising slogans against Gunjal. This heated the atmosphere. Meanwhile, city president Ravindra Tyagi and state president of Mahila Congress Rakhi Gautam started explaining, but sloganeering continued from both sides. When the matter escalated, Gunjal left the meeting midway.
