Om Birla MP of Kota-Bundi, who grew up in the land of Chambal and started his innings in politics from student life, reached his place of birth and work for the first time on Saturday after becoming the head of the country’s largest panchayat i.e. Lok Sabha Speaker for the second consecutive time. Here the people of Kota-Bundi gave him a grand welcome.
Grand welcome started from Hindoli
When the helicopter landed in Hindauli in the morning, a caravan gathered to welcome Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla. From Hindoli the phase of welcome started. That transformed into a great welcome as soon as he entered the land of Education City. Hundreds of people reached Badgaon to welcome him. It seemed as if the people of the entire Shikshanagari had come to greet their dear one. Amidst the warm welcome, greetings, and cheers from Badgaon to his residence, the rally of supporters seemed as if a mini version of Marine Drive had descended on the streets of Kota.
People were standing on both sides of the road with flower garlands. Drums were playing and everyone was happy with the sound of shehnai. As soon as the convoy reached, Om Birla was greeted with a garland of flowers. Om Birla was overwhelmed with welcome and greetings. Many times he became emotional and kept addressing the people repeatedly with folded hands and moist eyes. During this, Birla said, the love and affection I got from the public is my strength.
It took Speaker Birla 6 hours to cover the distance of about one and a half km in Hindoli and about five km in Bundi. It took four hours to reach the Kota border from Bundi. The scenes that took place at Birla’s welcome brought alive the memories of five years ago.
Om Birla committed that Hindoli’s peas will get worldwide recognition
While addressing the gathering at the Hindoli paddy market, Birla mentioned that the peas in the Hindoli area have a delightful and sweet taste. Furthermore, there is a record production of peas here. Moreover, in the coming time, the production will be increased. The peas here will be taken to sell in the country and abroad. He will prepare a plan for this soon.
