Free Visa for Indians in Malaysia.
A Free visa for Indians in Malaysia has been announced by the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Malaysia has made such a decision focusing on economic growth.

Malaysia is now following the path of Sri Lanka and Thailand for economic growth. The Malaysian Prime Minister has also said to give a free visa for Indians for 30 days. However, Malaysia has also opened this system to Chinese citizens, which will be implemented from December 1.

Let us tell you that Malaysia is the third Asian country to give a free visa to Indians. Currently in Malaysia, citizens of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Turkey, and Jordan get this facility.

It is noteworthy that a statement by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has made it clear that this free visa exemption will be subject to security clearance. He also said that people with criminal records and risk of violence will not get the benefit of this exemption. The Prime Minister said that the country’s Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail will soon share more information related to visa exemption.

Let us tell you that earlier China had announced a 15-day visa-free policy for Malaysian citizens. The Prime Minister of Malaysia thanked the Chinese government and said that next year both countries will celebrate 50 years of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.

According to statistics, the number of Indians travelling abroad increased from 1.4 to 2.7 crore in the last nine years. However, the tourism sector remained significantly affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After the relaxation of lockdown restrictions, passenger traffic in the tourist sector has started increasing again.

Free Visa to Indian Passport

As of November 2023, Indian passport holders can travel visa-free to 30 countries.

These countries include:
- Middle East: Iran, Jordan, Qatar, and Oman
- Oceania: Cook Islands, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Niue, Samoa, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Palau Islands
- Caribbean: Barbados, British Virgin Islands, and Dominica
- Asia: Bhutan, Cambodia, and Indonesia
- Americas: Bolivia and El Salvador
- Africa: Burundi, Cape Verde Islands, and Comoro Islands
Other countries that Indian passport holders can travel to visa-free include:
- Albania
- Mauritius
- Montserrat
- Nepal
- Grenada
- Hong Kong SAR
- Maldives
- Saint Vincent & the Grenadines
- Senegal

Indian Americans are gaining power in America

The influence of Indian Americans in America is continuously increasing. At least 10 Indian Americans have won local and state-level elections in different parts of the country. Most of these Indians belong to the Democrat Party.

This victory reflects the ever-increasing dominance of the Indian community in American politics. It is noteworthy that US Vice President Kamala Harris is also of Indian origin. Similarly, candidates of Indian origin are winning in elections ranging from Mayor to Parliament.

Indian Americans won from mayor to senate

Ghazala Hashmi born in Hyderabad has been elected to the Senate of Virginia for the third consecutive time. She was the first Indian-American and Muslim woman to make it to the Senate of Virginia.

At the same time, Suhas Subramaniam has also been re-elected to the Senate of Virginia. He was elected to the House of Delegates twice in 2019 and 2021.

Subramaniam of Indian origin born in Houston was a technology policy advisor in the White House during the previous Obama administration. Identically, he is the first Hindu to be elected to the Virginia House.

Kannan Srinivasan has been elected to the Virginia House of Delegates from the Loudon County area dominated by Indian Americans. Srinivasan came to America from India in the 90s. All three winners in Virginia are associated with the Democratic Party.

At the same time, three Indian-Americans have also won from New Jersey. Indian-Americans Vin Gopal and Raj Mukherjee have been elected to the state Senate in New Jersey. Both of them are associated with the Bharatvanshi Democratic Party. Apart from these, Balveer Singh has been re-elected to the Burlington County Board of County Commissioners in New Jersey.

At the same time, in Pennsylvania, Neel Mukherjee (Democrat) has won the post of Montgomery County Commissioner, while in Indiana, Indian-American doctor Dr. Anita Joshi has won the ‘West District’ seat of Carmel City Council seat.

Arunan Arulampalaam, CEO of the non-profit Land Bank, has been elected as mayor of Hartford in Connecticut. Arunan came to America from Zimbabwe.

After winning the elections, all 10 Indian Americans pledged to work for the welfare of the people of their region.

Karya pays its employees a minimum of $5 an hour. This organization also collects datasets of those Indian languages, which have been kept away from the AI boom till now.

Neel Khosla

Neel Khosla is the CEO and co-founder of telehealth startup Curai. Khosla opened this company in 2017. The company aims to revolutionize the medical care sector of the country. Through this platform, users can avail of virtual medical care services by taking a membership for a monthly fee of $15. Obviously, AI keeps the whole thing running 24/7 behind the scenes.

Sneha Revanur

Sneha Revanur (18) is the founder and chairman of Encode Justice. He started the civil society group Encode Justice in California in 2020. This platform worked to educate youth around the world on AI policy. She is also called Greta Thunberg of the AI world.

Kalika Bali

Kalika Bali is a researcher at Microsoft Research India. He worked towards eliminating the language barrier in technology. Kalika Bali is working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to create a gender-intentional database in five Indian languages spoken by more than a billion people.

Tushita Gupta

Tushita Gupta is the CTO and Co-Founder of Refinedbird. This company is working to revolutionize textile recycling moreover Refined’s AI system helps in analyzing clothes, identifying fabrics and recycling synthetic materials.

Romesh and Sunil Wadhwani

Romesh and Sunil Wadhwani are co-founders of the Mumbai-based non-profit organization Wadhwani AI.

Wadhwani AI works in many sectors including healthcare, education and agriculture. Wadhwani AI has also developed a series of AI programs to predict the high-risk and death rates of TB patients.

Pushmeet Kohli

Pushmeet Kohli is leading the Responsible and Reliable AI team for the science project at Google DeepMind. Basically, he is known for his work on AI security and Alphafold protein structure prediction systems. Kohli believes that serious problems in the world can be solved through AI.

Arvind Narayanan and Sayash Kapoor

Arvind Narayanan is a professor of computer science at Princeton University. He is known for his work on the social impact of digital technology and AI. In 2019, he gave a speech titled How to Spot AI Snake Oil. After the speech went viral, because of that he had to write a book on the subject with his PhD students and Sayash Kapoor.
