Kota Barrage 4 gates open yesterday night
Kota Barrage 4 gates were opened yesterday night along with gates of other Chambal river dams. Due to the weather circulation system, Gunjali, a tributary of Chambal, overflowed after heavy rains in the catchment area of Rana Pratap Sagar Dam. Because of the water inflow, water flow was started on Sunday by opening one Rana Pratap Sagar Dam gate. Due to this, two gates of Jawahar Sagar and four gates of Kota Barrage were also opened.

This time, for the first time in October, the gates of Chambal dams have been opened. However, the Kota Barrage dam gates were previously opened in the year 2022 in October month. Before this, people living in the downstream area were alerted by sounding sirens.

Kota- Rawatbhata Rana Pratap Sagar Dam’s superintending engineer Ejazuddin Ansari said that the gates of the Chambal River dams have always been opened in August and September. So far for the first time after three decades, the Chambal River dams gates have been opened in October.

46164 cusecs of water drained from Kota Barrage

By opening gate number 11 of Rana Pratap Sagar dam at 12:26 PM on Sunday, 34,330 cusecs of water were released. Additionally, 8,868 cusecs of water were released per second by generating electricity. 43,198 cusecs of water are flowing into the Rana Pratap Sagar dam. Moreover, 34,248 cusecs of water are being drained out by opening two gates of Jawahar Sagar Dam. 46,406 cusecs of water are arriving at Jawahar Sagar Dam. Furthermore,12258 cusecs of water are being released by generating electricity. The water level of Gandhi Sagar Dam was recorded at 1311.60 feet against its full filling capacity of 1312 feet. The inflow of 3919 cusecs of water is still there. Electricity generation here continues to drain out 2811 cusecs of water. Additionally, 46,164 cusecs of water are being drained by opening four gates of Kota Barrage.

Chambal River Dam

The Chambal River, a major tributary of the Yamuna River in India, has several dams and reservoirs constructed along its course for irrigation, hydroelectric power generation, and flood control. 3. Jawahar Sagar Dam

- Purpose: Hydroelectric power generation and irrigation.
- Height: 45 meters
- Capacity: 0.67 billion cubic meters.
4. Kota Barrage
- Location: Kota, Rajasthan
- Purpose: The Kota Barrage primarily facilitates irrigation by diverting water to canals but does not have a hydroelectric component like the other dams upstream. Instead of the hydroelectric project, a Super Thermal Power Plant is running on the bank of the Chambal River near the Kota Barrage.
- Height: 27.8 meters
- Capacity: N/A for electricity still a large amount of water is used in the thermal power plant. Kota Barrage mainly controls water flow for irrigation.
These Chambal River dams have created a chain of reservoirs along the Chambal River. Moreover, they are providing substantial benefits in terms of water resources management for agriculture and power generation. However, they have also affected the river’s ecosystem, especially impacting the habitats of species like the Gharial (a type of crocodile) and freshwater dolphins.

Nonera Dam the first ERCP dam in Rajasthan is ready

Nonera Dam the first ERCP dam in Rajasthan started yesterday on the 8th of September 2024. The testing work of water filling in Nonera Dam started on Sunday. The testing work will continue till September 12. It is the first dam of the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project.

Nonera Dam, which has a filling capacity of 226 meters, had received more than 217 meters of water by the evening. There is a continuous inflow of water into the river, due to which the water level of the dam is increasing. On average the water level is increasing by half a meter an hour. Furthermore, the team of engineers from the Water Resources Department remained on the spot and examined each gate. During this period, the water filling level, submergence area and gates of the dam were tested. A total of 226 million cubic meters of water will be stored in the Nonera Dam.

Barod Bridge submerged on the first day

Chambal Dheepri culvert connecting State Highway 70 drowned as soon as the gates of the dam were closed. Traffic here was stopped on Saturday before the gates of the dam were closed. Moreover, the police administration has closed the road to the culvert by placing barricades and police personnel have been deployed for security.

After the increase in the inflow of water into the dam, the administration has declared a high alert in the submerged area. Trainee IAS officer Nayan Gautam said that the villages falling in the submergence area are being monitored by the formed teams of Halka Patwari and village development officers.

21 districts will benefit from the Nonera Dam

From Nonera Dam, water will reach 158 dams-ponds and other water sources of the state. Apart from small and big dams, ponds and other water sources will also be included in the newly prepared DPR for 21 districts by the Water Resources Department.

Water will be supplied to Bisalpur and Isarda through the canal from Nonera Dam. A canal system and pumping station will be built at Ramgarh Barrage, Mahalpur Barrage and a pumping station on the Mej River. Moreover, the canal system and pumping station at Nonera will be built.

Besides this, a 2.6-kilometer-long tunnel will also be built, which will be 12 meters wide. Its cost has been estimated to be around Rs 9600 crore. Homework for the second phase also started. Filling capacity – 226.65 million cubic meters. The current fill level is 217 meters.

Reserved for drinking water – 54.00 million cubic meters

The catchment area is 24,668 square km

QR code display device installed at Railway ticket counters in Kota

QR code display device installed at all Railway ticket counters in Kota to facilitate payments. Now passengers will be able to travel by train without cash from the stations of the Kota Railway Division. It will provide the convenience of passengers, under the Digital India Scheme. Now passengers will be able to travel without the hassle of cash or change and buy tickets by scanning the QR code. Moreover, it provides facilities to the Railway staff. Furthermore, it will avoid arguments between ticket issuers and passengers for cash or change.

Senior DCM of Kota Railway Division, Rohit Malviya said that Kota Railway Division is continuously working on increasing the facilities for passengers. The Railways has installed QR code display machines at every counter to make the journey easier, even for those without cash or change.

QR code display device installed at 138 counters

Earlier in the Kota Railway Division, digital payments were only available at reserved ticket counters. To enhance convenience, a new digital QR code display system has been introduced at all reserved and unreserved ticket windows within the Railway Division. This allows passengers to easily obtain tickets by scanning the QR code. The amount is displayed on the screen along with the QR code at the ticket windows.

In the Kota Railway Division, an additional facility of payment through a digital QR code has been made available at 86 general ticket counters, 32 reservation cum general ticket counters and 20 reservation ticket counters. Thus, the facility of payment through QR code has been started at all 138 counters.

QR code-based transactions are simple, secure and transparent. Also, passengers get rid of the problem of carrying change. This facility is in addition to cash transactions at railway ticket counters.

This digital QR code display device shows a digital QR code for the amount. When the QR code mode is selected for ticket amount payment on the system. Furthermore, the passenger can easily scan from a mobile and make payment.

Shambhupura Kota is becoming a new smart city.

Shambhupura Kota will be developed as a smart city for which the central government has released 600 crore Rupees. Shambhupura is near Kota in the Ladpura Tehsil. Furthermore, Shambhupura is a small village located in the Kota district of Rajasthan, India. However, this area is not widely known outside of local or regional contexts. The area is primarily rural, with the local economy often depending on agriculture. It’s not far from Kota city. Moreover, it is a major educational hub and is known for its coaching centres for engineering and medical entrance exams. But now it is gaining popularity.

Under the Urban Reforms Project of the Central Government, a new smart city (model city) will be developed in Kota. While giving a green signal to this project, the Center has also approved its share of Rs 600 crore. Furthermore, the state government will contribute the same amount to the project. Along with the paradigm shift regarding development, the action plan of the project is being prepared.

A smart city can be built in Shambhupura Kota

About three years ago, the Central Government had asked the Rajasthan Government to send a proposal for a city in the state under the Urban Improvement Project. Kota’s name was sent in this. The previous government had sent the proposal to build a smart city in Ranpur to the Centre.

Recently the Central Government has asked the State Government to send a fresh proposal for the land. Afterwards, the search for land has started at a higher level. The land is being viewed around the Greenfield Airpor t in Shambhupura Kota. According to experts, this area is suitable for connectivity. Therefore, the chances of its selection have become higher. Moreover, a small new city is proposed to be developed in an area of about 412 hectares.

A smart city will soon come to the ground

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said that a new smart city will be developed in Kota. This project has been approved by the Central Government. The Union Cabinet has also approved an amount of Rs 600 crore. Officials have been instructed to mark the land. Apart from Ranpur, land is also available in Shambhupura Kota.

Efforts are being made to mark the land and bring the project to the ground soon. The new city will be developed according to modern concepts.

Kota Greenfield Airport preparation started

Kota Greenfield Airport preparation has started to make it operational soon. The government has started preparations to ground the Kota Greenfield Airport. An MOU was signed between the Airport Authority of India (AIA) and the state government in Jaipur on Friday regarding Kota Greenfield Airport.

During the assembly elections, the Prime Minister promised to build an airport in Kota. He said in the election rally in Kota that after forming a double-engine government in Rajasthan he will fulfil his guarantee. The work of preparing DPR has already started. The Airport Authority aims to complete the work and make Kota Airport operational within two years of the start of the construction work.

Kota Greenfield Airport is a dream project of Birla

Kota Greenfield Airport is the dream project of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. For which efforts have been going on for a long time. A new airport will be built on 439 hectares at Shambhupura near Kota city. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had recently taken a high-level meeting regarding the airport in Delhi. Its construction will not only boost tourism in the state but will also increase education and business activities. The air sector is focused on the same scale at which roads and railways are expanding in the state.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also made special efforts for the Kota Greenfield Airport

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma said that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also made special efforts for Kota Greenfield Airport. He mentioned that the previous administration’s negative stance toward the airport in Kota caused project delays. But now our government will complete the work of this airport on time and dedicate it to the public.

Furthermore, CM said that the terminal capacity of Jaipur Airport is also being expanded. At present its capacity is 50 lakh passengers per year. Kota Junction will soon be a stoppage of the Vande Bharat train

Kota Junction will soon be a stoppage for the Vande Bharat train as the Vande Bharat from Udaipur to Agra will make a stop here. From September 1, the Udaipur-Jaipur-Udaipur Vande Bharat train will now come to Jaipur only three days a week. The reason is that now it will be operated between Udaipur and Agra Fort for the remaining three days. The reason for reducing days is said to be less passenger load between Udaipur and Jaipur.

Actually, in September last year, Railways gifted the third Vande Bharat train to Rajasthan between Udaipur and Jaipur, but the passenger load in it was less. Hence, Vande Bharat will run only three days on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from the 1st of September. Now it is operating six days a week between Jaipur and Udaipur.

When will Vande Bharat stop at Kota Junction?

Vande Bharat will start operating from the 1st of September between Udaipur and Agra Fort. Vande Bharat will be operated from Udaipur to Agra Fort via Rana Pratapnagar, Mavli Junction, Chanderiya, Kota Junction, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bayana for three days on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

Approximately it will be around 10 Am towards Agra and in between 7-8 Pm towards Udaipur.

Vande Bharat train from Kota Junction will also run soon. After the completion of the redevelopment work, passengers will get the best rail facilities at Kota and Dakania stations. Om Birla MP of Kota-Bundi, who grew up in the land of Chambal and started his innings in politics from student life, reached his place of birth and work for the first time on Saturday after becoming the head of the country’s largest panchayat i.e. Lok Sabha Speaker for the second consecutive time. When the helicopter landed in Hindauli in the morning, a caravan gathered to welcome Kota-Bundi MP Om Birla. From Hindoli the phase of welcome started. It seemed as if the people of the entire Shikshanagari had come to greet their dear one. Hormone tests can be done now at Kota.
Hormone tests can be done now in the super speciality hospital of Kota Medical College. For this, an endocrinology department was opened in the hospital. This will provide patients with facilities for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and complex hormone-related diseases. Assistant Professor Dr Nitesh Kumar Boudh has been appointed as the head of the Endocrinology Department.

Principal Dr Sangeeta Saxena announced the launch of a facility capable of testing over 20 hormones. Patients will no longer need to travel to higher medical institutions in Jaipur and Delhi for the treatment of hormone-related diseases.

Diseases Related to Hormones

In-charge Dr Bauddha said that the department deals with serious and rare diseases like Acromegaly, Sheehan Syndrome, Cushing Syndrome, Gonadal Dysgenesis, Hypogonadism, Septo-Optic Dysplasia, Multiple Pituitary Hormone Deficiency, Auto Immune Polyglodumer Syndrome, Hyper and Hypo Parathyroidism and Renal Tubular Acidosis. Diagnosis and treatment were done. OPD of the Endocrinology Department will operate in room number 6 every Tuesday and Thursday.

Suket CHC Doctor has been made APO

Suket CHC Doctor has been made APO due to the death of two newborns. In Suket CHC of Kota negligence has been occurring for a long time. Recently 2 newborns died in the Suket Community Health Center of Kota. Due to this, the Medical and Health Department has taken strict action and directed disciplinary action against 14 medical personnel. A female health worker has been suspended immediately. Moreover, the Block Chief Medical and Health Officer has been made APO.

Negligence will not be tolerated at any level – Shubhra Singh

Shubhra Singh, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, has emphasized that strict action was taken in response to the tragic incident at Suket CHC. In Suket CHC two newborns lost their lives due to medical personnel negligence. An immediate investigation was initiated by the Joint Director of the Medical and Health Department, Kota Zone, to address this matter.

Shubhra Singh clarified that the BCMO had got the cause of death investigated by a three-member committee. In its report, the committee did not find that the death of both newborns was due to heatstroke. Furthermore, the committee found that there was negligence by the medical personnel at various levels in the Suket CHC for a long time.

Due to this, action has been taken by the medical department against many personnel simultaneously. She said that negligence will not be tolerated at any level in the availability of health services to the general public.

Female health worker of Suket CHC Chandrawati Sharma suspended

Director Public Health Dr Ravi Prakash Mathur said that voluntarily absent female health worker Chandrawati Sharma has been immediately suspended. Moreover, BCMO Dr Raees Khan has been made APO for supervisory negligence and disobeying the orders of the state government. Disciplinary action is being taken under CCA Rule-16 by giving show cause notice for negligence in duty by obstetrician Pushpalata Saxena and nursing officer Bajrang Lal Meena. Moreover, notice is been given to Hemant Chaudhary, Rahul Sharma, Ashiq, Faraz Baig, Vijay Kumar Panchauli, Nitish Verma and Tushar Yadav. Similarly, a notice is being issued to Dr Arpit Gupta, the medical officer in charge of Suket CHC, for being absent from duty without approved leave.

Illegal encroachment worth crores freed

Illegal encroachment was done by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) General Secretory Amin Patan worth crores freed in the Ananatpura area of Kota. Taking action against Pathan the administration has freed land worth crores of rupees from illegal encroachment. Pathan had constructed a luxurious farmhouse and swimming pool by occupying government land.

Kota UTI took action in the matter and carried out this action in the presence of the police force. The value of the land freed from encroachment has been estimated at crores of rupees. Amin Pathan is accused of infringing on forest land worth crores of rupees and building a big farmhouse.

Anantpura police station officer Bhupendra Singh stated that Apoorva Krishna Srivastava, the forest conservator of Kota, reported that Amin Pathan had demolished the security wall on the forest land near the Karneshwar temple. This land falls under the Lakhawa forest block of the Ladpura range in Kota. A satellite historical image of this illegal encroachment was also presented. It was visible that until 2014-15, a security wall was in the forest area. But after that, Amin Pathan had illegally encroached on this property and built a farmhouse there.

Three cases have been registered against Congress leader Amin Pathan at Anantpura police station in Kota. The first case is of obstructing the government work during the demarcation of the land of the Forest Department and Urban Development Trust. The second case involved taking the watchman and family hostage at the farmhouse. Additionally, the third case against Amin Pathan is for illegal mining by encroaching on forest land and destroying government property. Moreover, a case of theft has been registered under the Forest Conservation Act and Mineral Development Regulation Act. In the past too, cases have been registered against Pathan under serious sections.

Gunjal had kept an illegal stock of stones on government land.

After the recent action by the Forest Department on the farmhouse of Congress leader Amin Pathan in Rajasthan, the troubles of another leader have increased. UIT Tehsildar Hemraj Meena has registered a case against Congress candidate from Kota-Bundi Lok Sabha seat Prahlad Gunjal in Ranpura police station.

On Wednesday, a joint district administration team surveyed the government land adjacent to the crusher located at Bavdikheda of former MLA and Congress candidate Prahlad Gunjal in the Lok Sabha elections. The land survey was conducted by the joint team for about eight hours. It revealed that an illegal encroachment was done on the UIT land by the stock of stones. Whereas illegal mining was found in Khasra number 691, 694 of UIT. Now, based on the latest technology, the administration will get the land surveyed and demarcated afresh.

The Urban Development Trust had registered a case against Gunjal and his nephew Lokesh Gunjal for illegal mining on government land, stone theft and other sections. UTI also seized 955 tonnes of stones, a digging machine and a dumper from government land.
