Arvind Kejriwal Arrested in Delhi Liquor Scam

Arvind Kejriwal the Chief Minister of Delhi was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Delhi liquor scam. He was arrested yesterday at around 9 pm after two hours of inquiry at his residence.

Before the arrest, the ED had issued nine summons to Arvind Kejriwal for an inquiry into the Delhi liquor scam. But Arvind refused to appear for an inquiry giving different reasons. Moreover, it was been said by the AAP that the summons were illegal.

The petition by Arvind Kejriwal was rejected

After the ninth summons, Kejriwal filed a petition in the Delhi High Court to seek protection. The Delhi High Court on Thursday rejected Arvind Kejriwal’s petition seeking protection from arrest in the liquor policy case and refused to stay the arrest.

ED had sent the ninth summons to CM Arvind Kejriwal, in which he had to appear before the ED on Thursday. Instead of appearing to ED Kejriwal moved the Delhi High Court against it. After the hearing, the court refused to grant relief and said, “We cannot give any interim protection regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.”

After the court denied giving any interim protection, the ED team went to the residence of Kejriwal with a search warrant at around 7 pm. Moreover, officers also searched his house along with the inquiry. After the search and inquiry, the ED arrested him.

He will remain Chief Minister

After Kejriwal’s arrest, Atishi said that Arvind Kejriwal was, is and will remain the Chief Minister. He will not resign from his post. AAP government will run from jail.

YouTubers can’t tarnish reputation Madras High Court Said
YouTubers do not have the license to tarnish anyone’s reputation, the Madras High Court said during the hearing of a case on Tuesday. Additionally, the High Court has directed YouTubers to deposit the income earned through wrong videos on the social media platform in the revenue court.

What is the whole matter

YouTuber Savukku Shankar had accused a media company of smuggling banned substances in his videos. After that, the media company filed a civil suit against the YouTuber alleging that Shankar had posted many derogatory videos against them on his YouTube channel. Moreover, these videos have been shared more than six lakh times. The company’s reputation has been greatly damaged by the video containing these false allegations.

Instructions to the YouTubers

Hearing the case, Justice N Satish Kumar has restrained YouTuber Shankar from making unverified allegations against the company. Moreover, instructions have been given to deposit the income earned through the videos posted against the company in the revenue court.

Lok Sabha election dates announced

The Lok Sabha election dates were announced by the Election Commission in a press conference on Saturday afternoon. It was revealed yesterday at 3 pm on Saturday when the Lok Sabha elections will be held. The Election Commission announced the dates for the elections of the 18th Lok Sabha.

Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has announced the Lok Sabha election dates. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that our team is ready for the elections. He said that 97 crore voters will vote in the elections. There will be 10.5 lakh polling stations, while 55 lakh EVMs will be used.

Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states in which elections will be held in the second phase.

Third phase on 7 May

In the third phase, the election will be held in Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Dadar Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu.

Fourth on 13 May

Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir are the states where election will be held.

Fifth on 20 May

On the 20th of May 2024, the election will be held in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

Sixth on 25 May

Petrol and Diesel Prices Reduced in Rajasthan

Petrol and diesel prices have been reduced from today in Rajasthan. While the central government announced a reduction of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per litre across the country, the state government reduced it by Rs 1.34 to Rs 5.30 per litre. The new rates have come into effect from 6 am today.

Before the Lok Sabha elections, on Thursday, the state’s people got the double gift of a double-engine government. Chief Minister Bhajanalal Sharma has given great relief to the people of the state by reducing the rates of petrol and diesel. The VAT rate on petrol and diesel has been reduced by 2%. Petrol rates in the state will be reduced by Rs 1.40 to Rs 5.30. Whereas diesel rates will be reduced by Rs 1.34 to Rs 4.85.

Petrol and diesel will be available at the same rate in all the districts including Jaipur.

The biggest benefit from this decision will be in the border districts of the state. The state government has decided that now the rate of petrol and diesel in Jaipur will be the same in all the districts. Till now, there are different rates of petrol and diesel in the border districts. The decision was taken in a state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal on Thursday.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while talking to journalists after the meeting, said that there were discrepancies in the rates of petrol and diesel in Rajasthan. They have been turned away. Earlier the rates were different in the districts and in the state itself there was a difference of up to Rs 5 per litre in the rates of petrol and diesel.

The most expensive diesel was in the border districts. Due to this, sales of petrol pumps in border areas were decreasing. To provide relief to people from inflation, VAT has been reduced by 2%. The state government has fulfilled the guarantee of PM Narendra Modi by reducing the rates of petrol and diesel. Reducing the rates will put an additional burden of Rs 1,500 crore on the government.

Nayab Singh Saini became the new CM of Haryana

National Creators Award 2024 for Content Creators.
National Creators Award 2024 were given to content creators and Influencers for the first time in India by PM Modi in Bharat Mandpam New Delhi Yesterday on 8th March 2024.

What is the National Creators Award 2024

With the rise of social media millions of content creators became active on these platforms. These creators are providing awareness on various issues such as environment, technology and health and fitness. Moreover, they educated the masses by providing general knowledge and educational topics. Furthermore, many creators are talking about fashion and travel guides.

Content creation is becoming a new profession in India and it is developing at a fast pace. Moreover, content creators are making enough money apart from doing social causes.

The National Creators Award 2024 was India’s first-ever award ceremony that celebrated and recognized content creators across various online platforms. Selection Process

The National Creators Award 2024 had a two-pronged selection process:

- The nomination period was between February 10th and 29th, 2024.
Evaluation and Public Vote:

Nominations were evaluated based on a set of criteria including creativity, impact, reach, innovation, sustainability, and alignment with the award’s goals. The public also played a role by casting votes for their favourite nominees across the various categories.

A jury used a combination of these evaluations and public votes to determine the final winners. The number of followers or subscribers a creator had was considered during the evaluation process, but the exact weight it carried is not publicly known. Additionally, the follower count was a snapshot taken on a specific date, February 9th, 2024.

The National Creators Award 2024 received over 150,000 nominations across 20 categories, with 1 million votes cast during selection.

A total of 23 winners were chosen in the end, including three creators from other countries. Furthermore, these winners were recognized in diverse categories such as Best Storyteller, Disruptor of the Year, Celebrity Creator, Green Champion, Social Change Advocate, etc. Moreover, this diversity of recognition highlights the vast influence that digital creators have on various aspects of Indian life.

Iris is a part of the ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) scheme of the Government of India. Its objective is to increase recreational activities among children in schools. According to media reports, it can communicate in three major languages and it can answer even the most difficult questions of students very easily.

Major Incident on Mahashivratri in Kota

A major incident took place in Kota on the day of Mahashivratri. 18 children got burnt due to electric shock while taking out a Shiv procession in the Kunhadi area. The condition of one of them is critical.

According to Assistant Sub Inspector Raees Ahmed of Kunhadi police station, the accident took place in Kali Basti located near the thermal power plant. These people were taking out a Shiva procession on Mahashivratri, in which children were also included. The children had a flag in their hands, which touched the tension line passing through there. Kunhadi police station officer Arvind Bhardwaj said that these people were carrying out Kalash Yatra on Mahashivratri from Ramdev temple to Hanuman temple. The injured children are Saman, Suraj, Lokesh, Dheeraj, Prince, Yash, Rishi, Kushal, Sameer, Himanshu, Anirudh, Maxu, Saawariya, Sinaria, Monu, Anjali and Manvi. The age of the children burnt in the accident is between 12 to 15 years. Among these, 13-year-old Shagun son of Mangilal is seriously injured and has been taken to the CPR room for treatment. Apart from this, a woman has also been injured due to electric shock.

On the question of legal action in this matter, Police Officer Bhardwaj said that at present, getting the children treated is a priority and we are engaged in that. The root causes of the incident will be investigated and later, if legal action is required, legal action will be taken.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla met the children

After getting information about the incident, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and State Energy Minister Hiralal Nagar reached MBS hospital. They met the injured children and gave directions to the hospital management for proper treatment of the children. Along with taking information from the doctors, he also inquired about the well-being of the burnt children. After meeting the children, Speaker Birla said that guidelines have been given for their proper treatment. One child is serious, special doctors have been asked to take care of him. He said that if necessary, seriously injured children would be referred to other hospitals.

Administration officials including IG Ravi Dutt Gaur, District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami and SP Dr. Amrita Duh an have reached the spot. This matter is also being investigated.
