MOU worth Rs 1 lakh crore signed between Rajasthan government and HUDCO

A MOU worth Rs 1 lakh crore was signed yesterday between the Rajasthan government and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO). The agreement was officially signed on July 24, 2024, in Jaipur. The MoU was signed by Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD of HUDCO, and Shri Debasish Prusty, IAS, Secretary to the Government of Rajasthan’s Finance (Budget) Department. Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Honorable Chief Minister of Rajasthan, attended the ceremony. Moreover, Diya Kumari, Deputy chief minister was also present in the ceremony.

What is an MOU?

A MOU is a short form of a Memorandum of Understanding. A MOU is a formal document that outlines the terms and details of an agreement between two or more parties. What is the purpose of this MOU?

With this MOU, Rajasthan’s Water and irrigation situation will soon improve. Furthermore, the path to getting cheap electricity in the state will be cleared. After signing this MoU, the Rajasthan government will get a loan of Rs 1 lakh crore. Under which, in the coming 5 years, the Rajasthan government will complete the work of infrastructure projects like water, irrigation and electricity.

HUDCO will provide a loan of Rs 20,000 crore every year to the Rajasthan government for the successful completion of these projects. After signing the MoU, HUDCO on Wednesday handed over a check of Rs 1,577 crore for the Jal Jeevan Mission to Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation (RWSSC).

The government committed to strengthening drinking water irrigation infrastructure

On this occasion, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that the state government is committed to making Rajasthan a leader in the field of energy and strengthening the drinking water and irrigation infrastructure. The State Government will ensure that all necessary financial resources are allocated for this resolution.

Addressing the virtual inauguration ceremony of the Jaisalmer Solar Power Plant at the Chief Minister’s Office, CM Bhajan Lal said, that the production of renewable energy from the 400 MW solar power plant in Jaisalmer of the renewable energy producing company ReNew is a step towards making the state self-reliant. Kota Greenfield Airport preparation started

Kota Greenfield Airport preparation has started to make it operational soon. The government has started preparations to ground the Kota Greenfield Airport. An MOU was signed between the Airport Authority of India (AIA) and the state government in Jaipur on Friday regarding Kota Greenfield Airport.

During the assembly elections, the Prime Minister promised to build an airport in Kota. He said in the election rally in Kota that after forming a double-engine government in Rajasthan he will fulfil his guarantee. The work of preparing DPR has already started. The Airport Authority aims to complete the work and make Kota Airport operational within two years of the start of the construction work.

Kota Greenfield Airport is a dream project of Birla

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also made special efforts for the Kota Greenfield Airport

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma said that Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has also made special efforts for Kota Greenfield Airport. He mentioned that the previous administration’s negative stance toward the airport in Kota caused project delays. But now our government will complete the work of this airport on time and dedicate it to the public.

Last year, Anandraj, a resident of Behror, was caught in the Army Cantt in Suratgarh in Sriganganagar district. From him, Pakistani beauties had gathered geographical and strategic information.

In the year 2023 February, canteen operator Vikram Singh in Bikaner military area was honey-trapped by Pakistani beauties. The girl had changed her name and contacted the store operator of Suratgarh.

Faceless management for GST administration implemented.

Faceless management for GST administration is implemented in Rajasthan. Thus Rajasthan becomes the first state in the country to implement faceless management for the administration of GST works. Under this scheme, tax assessments are conducted online, eliminating physical interfaces between the taxpayer and the tax officer.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ms Diya Kumari announced point number 60 (VI) of the Vote on Account speech for the financial year 2024-2025. This announcement is to ensure better adherence to the principle of clean and transparent administration. Now the work of commercial tax and excise departments will be phased out. Moreover, arrangements for faceless management will be made.

With this view in mind, online integrated tax management, integrated excise management system and Jan Aadhaar wallet will be further strengthened and expanded in the state. In compliance with this announcement, an order has been issued to implement faceless management in phases for GST-related work in the Commercial Tax Department.

Arrangements done for faceless management

Rajasthan is the country’s first state to make this arrangement. This system has been implemented as per the decision-making system of the Income Tax Department. Furthermore, by this system ideals of ‘Anywhere Registry’ are implemented by the Registration and Stamp Department.

This order pertains to the Goods and Services Tax within the Commercial Tax Department. It aims to ensure an equal distribution of taxpayers based on administrative areas. Furthermore, it balances the workload of personnel and ensures proper and proportionate division of work. Moreover, it addresses interruptions in work performance due to vacancies, long-term holidays, and other administrative factors. To ensure non-arrival and neutral and impartial work-related objectivity, the new faceless/randomized system has been implemented in a phased manner. It is also proposed that the entire work system will be developed in the newly proposed Integrated Tax Management System.

This change will bring work balance, quick execution and procedural transparency in tax administration. With this faceless management system, pending cases of taxpayers will be heard and resolved quickly and with transparency.

On this occasion, CM said that the state government is committed to the upliftment of the person standing at the last mile by taking forward the concept of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that a well-mannered and developed society remains sensitive to the development of all sections. Pension in the form of social security provides financial support to the needy. Moreover, it also keeps them connected to the mainstream. New beneficiaries joined pension schemes

The Chief Minister said that the state government has increased the amount in the Social Security Pension Scheme from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,150. Moreover, it will be increased in a phased manner. Also, more than 2 lakh 74 thousand people are getting pension benefits in Jhunjhunu district, to whom Rs 32 crore 27 lakh is being transferred monthly as pension. He said that a digitalized process is being adopted in these pension schemes. Due to this pensioners are being ensured to avail the benefits of the schemes without any hassle.

In the current financial year till May, Rs 17 crore 60 lakh have been spent and scholarships have been given to 16 thousand students. He assured the state government is working on Baba Saheb’s principle of establishing an egalitarian society.

The Chief Minister has approved the allotment of 4 thousand 780 hectares of land to Rajasthan Solar Park Development Company. At the same time, the proposal has been approved to allocate 910 hectares of land to NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. NTPC will set up the establishment of a 500 MW solar project in the Phalodi district.

Solar park will be planted on more than four thousand hectares of land

Two solar parks of 1000 MW each and one solar park of 450 MW will be set up in Bikaner. For the first solar park, about 1 thousand 881 hectares of land will be allotted in village Surasar of Pugal tehsil. Moreover, two thousand hectares of land will be allotted for the second solar park of 1000 MW.

In this, 1 thousand 194 hectares of land are located in Surasar. Moreover, about 807 hectares of land are located in the village of Bhanavatawala. Approval has been granted for the allocation of 900 hectares of land in the village of Sardarpura, located in the Chhatargarh tehsil, for the development of a 450 MW solar park. These solar parks will be developed in 3 phases by the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation. The development will be under the Solar Park Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (Central Government). Similarly, approval has been given for the allotment of 910 hectares of land in village Bhadla in Baap tehsil of Phalodi district.

Immense possibilities of renewable energy in the Bikaner district

Bikaner will play an important role in solar energy in the Rajasthan state. There is immense potential for solar energy in this area. Due to barren land and availability of sunlight, the district is suitable for solar energy production. Various solar projects with a total capacity of 4,484 MW have been successfully operational in the district as of March 2024. At present, 5 thousand 190 MW solar projects are in progress.

Two 765 kW Grid substations for solar energy transmission have been established by the Power Grid Corporation of India. Another GSS installation is planned. Rajasthan State Electricity Transmission Corporation is also planning a new GSS for solar energy transmission in the district. This infrastructure development will be another significant step towards harnessing solar energy in Bikaner.

Spices of famous brands seized in Rajasthan

Spices of famous brands were found unsafe hence 12 thousand kg of spices were seized in Rajasthan. Action against adulterated spices in the state continued for the second day on Saturday in different districts. The team has seized spices worth lakhs of rupees.

While releasing the detailed details of the action, Additional Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health Department, Shubhra Singh said that samples were taken from big spice companies. On finding samples unsafe, the authorities took actions such as seizing the unsafe spices. Moreover, samples of other batches from all the districts were collected. During this period, more than 12 thousand kg of spices were seized. Moreover, 71 enforcement samples were taken.

Food Safety Commissioner Iqbal Khan said that samples were taken and action was taken to seize them after being found unsafe. Pav Bhaji Masala, Sambhar Masala, Garam Masala, Chaat Masala, Sabji Masala, Raita Masala, Chana Masala etc. of MDH, Sheeba Fresh, Everest, Hamdard, Shyam Dhani, Ramdev and other brands will be banned.

Everest masala worth more than Rs 20 lakh and MDH brand masala worth Rs 10 lakh were seized while taking action against Mahesh Enterprise, a firm in Nehru Nagar in Krishi Mandi.

Spices seized in Alwar

940 packets of 100 grams of Raita Masala were seized from Ciba Masala Udyog. They have a spice manufacturing and sales unit located on Itarana Road. Moreover, 880 packets of 100 grams of garam masala and 880 packets of 100 grams of chana masala were seized from Lakshmi Agencies. This firm is a wholesaler of MDH located in Tilak Market. Similarly, samples of meat masala and chole masala were taken for testing from Jagadamba Enterprises. They are the wholesaler of Everest masala in Tejmandi.

Pali

7420 kg of spices were seized from Arihant Food Products situated in Sardhana village in Tehsil Raipur of Pali district.

Cumin powder mixed with talcum powder

In Beawar, the Food Safety Team inspected M/s Kiran Industries and seized 420 kg of cumin powder. It was prepared by mixing with talcum powder. The team has sent samples of adulterated cumin to the laboratory.
