Voting Percentage was 74.96% in the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023. On Saturday, voters cast their votes for the formation of the sixteenth in Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023. Voting passed peacefully with minor incidents. A complaint of aerial firing was also received at one place.
The process of collecting EVMs at the district headquarters continued till late at night. According to the Election Commission, the final voting figures will be revealed after the completion of the EVM collection work. In some places, there were complaints of EVM and VVPAT malfunctioning, which were replaced by the Commission. Complaints of boycott of voting were also received at about six places in Sikar, Bassi etc. Voting time ended at 6 pm, but due to queues of voters at many places, they were taken inside the booth campus and voted till night. The final voting figures were not released till late at night.
Voting Percentage increased over time.

This time the voting process for 199 assembly seats of the state was started at 7 am and the pace of voting remained fast. Till 9 am, 9.77% of voters had cast more votes as compared to 6.21% in the last election. The pace increased in the afternoon and a crowd gathered at the polling stations leading to confrontation.
Highlights of voting for Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023
Incidents of stone pelting also took place between supporters of both parties during voting in Dholpur, Sikar and Taraganar of Churu district. However, there is no news of voting being affected anywhere.
The election was not held on a seat. The election process was postponed due to the death of a candidate in the Srikaranpur assembly constituency.
Live webcasting of the voting process was done at 26 thousand 393 polling stations including 12 thousand 433 sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations of the state.
Newly married people, women, youth and disabled people participated enthusiastically in the voting. In the state, more than 61 thousand older citizens above 80 years of age and disabled people had earlier voted from home. Voting was held in 199 out of 200 assembly seats in the state.
Voting even at a height of 5 thousand feet
For the first time, a polling station was built at Shergaon in Abu-Pindwara assembly constituency of Sirohi district at an altitude of 4 thousand 921 feet. To reach here the polling party had to walk about 17 kilometres from the “Guru Shikhar”. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the local villagers regarding voting at this centre.
Names removed from voter lists
At many polling stations in the districts including the capital Jaipur, the common people also complained about the deletion of names from the voter list. People arrived with identity cards to cast their votes but were not allowed to vote as their names were not on the voter list. In such a situation, people also protested in some places.
