The appointment of Madan Rathore is being considered an attempt to woo the original OBC category. Rathore was elected Rajya Sabha MP only about five months ago. He has been MLA from Sumerpur Vis seat twice and was also the Government Deputy Chief Whip in the previous BJP government.
In 2023 Madan Rathore filed the nomination as an independent candidate after the BJP refused to give him the ticket. Later Rathore withdrew the nomination. It was claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called Rathore to withdraw his nomination. Just two and a half months after the assembly elections, the party honoured him and declared him a Rajya Sabha candidate and he became a Rajya Sabha MP. CP Joshi had offered to step down from the post of state president after the assembly elections and just before the Lok Sabha elections. BJP has won the election field in Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections even before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. In the state, 10 BJP candidates including Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein won their respective seats unopposed. Election officials gave this information on Saturday.

Brief about Lal Krishna Advani
Lal Krishna Advani is an Indian politician who served as the 7th Deputy Prime Minister of India from 2002 to 2004. He is one of the co-founders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
Advani was born on November 8, 1927, in Karachi, British India, in a Sindhi Hindu family. He was educated at St. Patrick’s High School, Karachi, and D.G. National College, Hyderabad, Sindh. His family migrated to India during the partition of India and settled in Bombay, where he graduated in Law from the Government Law College of Bombay University.
Lal Krishna Advani Political Career
Lal Krishna Advani joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of 14 and was actively involved in the organisation’s activities. He also worked as a journalist for several years. In 1951, he joined the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the political arm of the RSS, and quickly rose through the ranks. He became the president of the Jana Sangh in 1973.
In 1980, the Jana Sangh was dissolved and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was formed. 3. Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh
Nanaji Deshmukh was an Indian social worker. He was formerly a leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh. In 1977, when the Janata Party government was formed, he was included in the Morarji cabinet. But he rejected the ministerial post saying that people above 60 years of age should stay out of the government and do social service work. He was given Bharat Ratna posthumously in 2019 for his social service.
4. Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika
Bhupen Hazarika was a versatile lyricist, composer and singer from the north-eastern state of Assam in India. Apart from this, he was also an Assamese language poet, filmmaker, writer and well-versed in the culture and music of Assam. Moreover, he was a unique artist of India who wrote, composed and sang his songs. He was given the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 2019.
5. Pranab Mukherjee
The Modi government at the Center honoured Pranab Mukherjee, a staunch Congressman and the thirteenth President of India, with the Bharat Ratna on 26 January 2019. Congress has launched a “Donate for Desh” campaign for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. This campaign was designed to collect election funds but has been in trouble.
Congress will celebrate its foundation day on December 28. On Monday (December 18), the Congress fixed a certain amount for the people of the country to participate in the Donate For Desh campaign. BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) brainstormed the list of candidates for Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh for about three hours on Sunday night.
The meeting was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, National President JP Nadda and election committee members and prominent leaders of Rajasthan.
A total of 65 seats including strong and weak seats of Rajasthan were discussed.
According to informed sources, an agreement was reached on tickets for 45 seats. The meeting for Rajasthan continued till 11:30 p.m.
According to sources, the list of candidates for the seats for which consent has been reached can be released after Prime Minister Modi’s election tour of Rajasthan on Monday and Thursday.
An idea also came up in the meeting that the lists should be declared after Pitru Paksha.
Round of meetings continued throughout the day
Before the meeting of the Central Election Committee and Parliamentary Board in Delhi, top leaders of the state BJP kept doing homework on political mathematics throughout the day on Sunday.

There was a gathering of leaders of Rajasthan at Joshi’s residence. State President CP Joshi, Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathore, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, in-charge Arun Singh and co-in-charge Vijaya Rahatkar were also present in the meeting.
